Mo' Cats Day and the report we didn't want to hear

Last year some crazy human decided that September 9 should be No Cats Day in the Blogosphere. Our Pal Derby realized that NO Cats had to be a typo and that it was really MO (as in MORE) Cats Day.

Here's what we think about NO Cats Day!

Sniffie shows the Back of Disrespect....

Tamir shows his 'Tocks

Ellie thinks the whole idea of NO Cats day is really silly...

And Allie agrees....

Even Cousin Trooper agrees!

We think MORE Cats should be blogging, not less! Don't you agree???

On a sadder note:
We're sorry to have to say that Sniffie's V-E-T visit and ultrasound did not go well yesterday.
Sniffie's ultrasound showed two masses. The report says:
1) multiple abdominal masses, one which appears to be associated with the quadrate lobe of the liver - R/O carcinoma, lymphoma, sarcoma
2) mass associated with the L medial stifie R/O sarcoma, carcinoma

Diagnostics: Abdominal US - there is a 2 cm diameter irregular mass in the mid-ventral abdomen. The center is markedly hypochoic and may be fluid. There is also a 2.5-3cm mass associated with the quadrate lobe of the liver extending back to the R paralumbar fossa and displacing the R kidney caudally.

Mom and Dad spoke to the surgeon last night. The surgeon really had no positive things to say. She talked a lot about sending Sniffie to the Bridge from the operating table. After lots of talks, tears, prayers and hugs Mom and Dad have decided to spend what time Sniffie has loving on her, spoiling her silly and giving her the best care they possibly can. Mom and Dad are both very sad and have leaky eyes and sad expressions. Sniffie is going to do her very best to be around as long as possible. Sniffie is hoping her friends will still love her even though she has a naked belly. Mom assured her that you would.

We are so very very sad to hear the noos abowt Sniffie. Mom has leaky eyes and we are in the dumps. We all love Sniffie.

Our mom thinks yoor decision is the kindest and most loving yoo could make ~ becos quality life is wot counts. Mom said lavishing love and care on Sniffie for as long as possible, and then letting her go when yoor heart knows it's the right time, is the most loving thing to do.

We know how hard it will be for yoo though. We are gonna pray and purr that Sniffie has quality life for as long as possible ~ and we are sending huge rumbly PURRS and (((((((((hugs)))))))). Stay strong.

Love from us all.

Human Kim here....I'm so so sorry. Oh, I'm bawling my eyes out now. I wasn't expecting this at all. Please know I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers, we're sending purrs and Light.

I am one who doesn't believe in subjecting any Being (four-legged or two) to excessive tests/procedures/surgeries when they are terminally ill. For me, it's about QUALITY of life, not quantity of days lived.

(((Hugs))) and kitty kisses to you all and wishing you Blessings and Peace.

I just heard. I am so very sorry to hear about Sniffy. I remember several years ago when my mom found out she was going to lose her precious Taffy. I recall seeing her spend literally hours every day with Taffy sitting in her lap and my mom petting her and loving her. She said it actually helped her cope when the time finally came.
I will be praying that Sniffy will be with you for a long time to come.
