Party Day and National Hairball Awareness Day

Tonight is our Birthday Party celebration. Auntie El will be here and Mom has a furry special menu planned. We heard something about nut crusted salmon!!!

We have great decorations! Allie thinks the Happy Birthday Balloon is tasty!!

Today is also National Hairball Awareness Day! We know all about hairballs since we're very floofy. Did you know shorthaired cats get hairballs too? Tamir sheds even more than we do!! We love the FURminator!

Here are some Hairball Tips from Furminator:

In observation of National Hairball Awareness Day (April 30^th), to help both cats and parents alike, FURminator, Inc. created five quick tips for hairball prevention.

1. Regular Grooming: Decrease the amount of hair your cat ingests by using the FURminator deLuxe deShedding Tool, which reduces shedding by nearly 90 percent.

2. Home Remedies: Add a little canned pumpkin to your cat’s meals once or twice a week. The fiber in the pumpkin can help move any hair clods through their system.

3. Stay Hydrated: Encourage your cat to drink plenty of water by placing various bowls throughout the house. The water will help flush out the hair before it has time to clump in the stomach.

4. A New Menu: There are several specially formulated cat foods that aid in the fight against hairballs. Always consult with your vet first before making any drastic changes to your cat’s diet.

5. Ask Your Vet: If you believe your cat has a chronic hairball problems ask your veterinarian to recommend a laxative supplement to help prevent ingested hairs from forming hairballs.

Friday Fun - our Auction Wins

It's the super pillowcases we won at the Cat Blogosphere Auction for Hansel.


Look at this - they even included Cat Grass for US! We're going to carefully read their blog post from the other day so we can tell Mom what she needs to do to grow our Cat Grass!

Earth Day 2010

Today is Earth Day! As Allie showed you last year, reusable shopping bags are great!
Allie is very conscious of her environment. Here she is demonstrating how she likes to Reuse/Recycle cardboard. Why would you want to throw away this great box when it makes such a nice, comfy bed... Very snuggly.... Hey Mom...what do you mean I don't fit? Are you saying I'm....OVERWEIGHT?

Mom and Dad are going to Church for our Pastor's 50th anniversary as a priest. There is a Golden Jubilee Mass and dinner today.

While Mom and Dad are gone, we plan on taking it easy.... we Birman girlz need our beauty sleep.

Trooper cooks dinner!

If you didn't read our update yesterday, Auntie El's procedure went just fine! Mom says she doesn't have to call her "Your Holiness" anymore! Thanks for all of your purrs and prayers.

Trooper can't wait for his Mom (Auntie El) to come home. He's even fixed dinner!!

"Hey Mom, I miss you! Hurry home....we're having HAMS!!!"

Tired Thursday - purrs and prayers please

UPDATE - Auntie El's procedure went really well. She's in her room and is doing great! The doctor said she will be fine! Thanks for all of your purrs and prayers!

Whew, it's been a busy couple of weeks and we're all tired out.


We would like to ask all of our anipals and their beans to say some prayers, send some purrs, woofs and good thoughts out to our Auntie El today. She is going to have the procedure to fix up her heart this morning.

Here's a picture of Auntie El opening up her Easter Basket. Hey....her basket looks bigger than OURS!!

Thanks for your prayers. Mom will be staying with Auntie El most of the day and then going to Choir practice tonight, so we might not get to visit our friends today. Mom will post an update about Auntie El as soon as she can.

Toys and Treats - our Easter Basket!

Maybe wearing those goofy ears was not a bad idea. I think I see STINKY GOODNESS in this basket...

Hey Allie...look at these cool Space ship and Meteor toys. Those are purrfect for us since we live on the Space Coast of Florida. They look like the ones Baby Patches sells at Nip and Bones! Do you think the Easter Bunny shops there???

Cubby loved his little lambie too. He's a blur 'cause he's trying to get it away from Clifford.

What a haul! We got Space Ship and Meteor toys, Stinky Goodness, loads of Treats, and Catnip Lambie toy. Auntie El and Cousin Trooper gave us a whole Easter basket full of Stinky Goodness!!

The LOUD meowing you hear is Sniffie and the quieter meow is Tamir. Sniffie says Mom should have washed the goobers off her face before she did the video!!

ManCat Monday - a let down

Remember this picture from last Monday? Remember how humiliated I was? Remember how I said it would be worth it 'cause the Easter Bunny would bring us great presents? Well.....

The Bunny CAME and brought us baskets....LOOK!! And Mom said....
"I had to get up at 4am for Sunrise Mass and we had a nice dinner with HAM....can't we post your pictures on Tuesday?" Well....the HAM won....please come back tomorrow to see what was in our baskets!!
