Flashback Femme Friday with Sniffie and welcome home Atlantis

Sniffie knew how much better the view was from the top of the cat tree!

Ellie gets the second level....
Allie got there late and got the lower level!

Yesterday morning at 5:56 the shuttle Atlantis arrived at Kennedy Space Center for the final time.

We are very sad to see the space program end. We owe so much to the shuttle program. Thank you to those very brave astronauts and to all of the workers and support teams that made the shuttle program possible. We're also sad because on Friday 1,510 workers for United Space Alliance will be out of a job. That is only a small part of the huge number of jobs that are being lost. We're purring and praying for all of these people and their families

Sniffie was a very smart cat. We are sad about that too. When our Grandfather was alive he worked in aerospace (non manned after Apollo) but we still have friends who work in that industry and it will be a very difficult time.

We are super sad about the end of this phase of the space program too--it seems like now it is all taking a back seat to a bunch of other stuff. I love NASA because it is the one area of government that seems so optimistic and future oriented. I hope there will be new projects soon.

Sniffie was a very smart kitty! We're sad the space program is ending too but we appreciate all they've done for space exploration. It's terrible all those people are going to lose jobs especially in today's already bad economy.

Maybe Angel Sniffie still goes up there when he visits from heaven!
Hopefully our space program will return someday when the economy gets stronger........hopefully...=^Y^=

I don´t know if google translater makes the right translation for what I´m about to write ??!!

It´s good that there are three beds in your tree so you can sleep in tit-tat-toe style :)

We saw the last landing on the news here in Sweden last night.
So sad that so many people will be out of jobs :(

Sniffie was top cat in more ways than one!!

We are happy that Atlantis landed safely, but we are sad about the shuttle program ending.

Sniffie definitely knew the best spot to be!

Yes, it's the end of an era for sure. We saw the landing live on TV and were holding our breaths, glad everyone made it safely.

We have many battles for the top cat position on the cat tree! Love the look on Sniffie's face.

We are sorry to hear that so many people are going to lose their jobs with the end of your space programme. It is so worrying for anyone losing their jobs in the current economic climate.

Sniffie was a very smart girl. That is indeed the best spot on the tree! :)

We've been thinking, purring and praying for all the folks involved with the space program and related industries...

It must be particularly hard for you all to see what's happening to the space program. I think it's sad and unfair to all the folks who have put their hearts and souls into its missions.

The cat tree? Isn't that one of the inventions that came from our trips into space?? hehehe! Sniffie knew best where to position herself. What a little sweetie pie.

Take care,
Tom & Julie

Sniffie, you certainly did have the best view in the house. What a smart kitty.
That such a shame that all those jobs are being lost. Wonder if they will come up with a new project. It is really sad to see that program over. Hope you have a good week end and can stay somewhat cool.

Many years before the Shuttle program, my Dad did some design work on some of the Apollo missions, so I've been fascinated by the Space program all of my life.

Nothing lasts forever. The only constant is change. I'm praying that the economic climate changes for our country very soon... For everybody's sake.

We love how everyone found their own little spot on the cat climb!

We are so sad about the shuttle program. It was something our Mumsy had hoped to see, and had hoped would lead to even bigger and better. Well, we guess we'll see what happens now.

You guys have a super good weekend.
