Thursday (not) in the Garden

::Meowwww::

Today we're joining our friend Jonesie from Cory Cat Blog  and are taking part in The

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

We know these pictures are not out in the Garden, but Mom is pretty hopeless with outside plants.  Okay...maybe she's hopeless with inside ones too (see this Nip Disaster) but she is good with Orchids.  We've shown you a few in the past, but we thought we would share this very Springy looking one today.

Hey Ellie....get out of there!!

But Allie......this is very nommmy....

Sheesh....what's a sister to do?  Ellie wanted to eat it!

We hope you enjoyed Mom's orchid plant.  Those spiky things on the bottom are red air plants! Ellie loves to whap them!

Oh what a lovely orchid. Ours are all dead.

How beautiful! It takes a pretty good green thumb to do that!

Those orchids are so pretty. I wonder how they taste. I'll probably never find out because I think the air is too dry here for them to grow well.

Orchids are really beautiful. But our Mom would probably kill it within days. She had those air plants before and they didn't even survive a month. Poor things.

The orchid is really beautiful!

Sorry we haven't been visiting much lately ~ mom has a lot to do and has now decided to take a mini blogcation while she sorts some important stuff out.

Love Alfie xx

Oh, I dearly miss having orchids!

I had dozens of them in Florida. I had huge Oak trees and most of them were either hanging from the limbs or on plant stand under them. Just the right amount of dappled sunlight for them. They thrived!

Unlike the poor unfortunate 2 or 3 I kept on my screened patio... Gandalf and Grayson were constantly breaking off bloom spikes or the leaves. grrrrr....

Orchids are very finicky, we understand. So we think if your mom can grow them well, she could grow outdoor plants too--including nip!

That orchid is beautiful. Our mum is okay with outdoor plants, but hopeless with indoor ones, probably because she forgets to water them.

Mom loves orchids too, especially since hers seem to do well with no effort on her part:) Yours is one of the prettiest she has ever seen - so full and such pretty colors.

Thanks for sharing.

Our mom has always been impressed with your mom's orchids. But we can't have those around here because Wally would eat them for sure!!
