Whisker Wednesday

Mom always feels sad when she sees one of our whiskers.  She saw this one on her bathroom counter.
Do you think somecat wants their nails painted???

Ewww... that would involve touching my toes. And besides I am perfect just the way I am...

um, I don't think so. I can't imagine a cat would like that any more than me, and I KNOW I wouldn't like it!

I think whiskers fall out occasionally just like all other hairs and furs, but it is unusual to see them, isn't it?

I definitely notice when Luna's whiskers fall out, and wonder if it hurt or was sensitive. But it seems to be something that just happens sometimes.

We have nail polish here (for some of my music/stage performances), Luna seems to have no interest in it whatsoever :)

Once my human found one of my whiskers - she could tell it was mine because it had a ticked pattern on it - and she taped it to her laptop and took it everywhere (well, everywhere her laptop went). Eventually it broke apart. But that does not mean I am giving her another one!

Mommy loves it when she finds our whiskers! She keeps them in a box. :)

Our mom thought whiskers naturally fell out. Kind of like human hairs and eyebrows. She saves ours when she finds them. Beats us what she does with them, though!

Mum always keeps our whiskers for a few days and then throws them away - we don't know why and in case it's a long and tedious reason we don't ask!

The Mum keeps our whiskers for a while like Hannah and Lucy's mom, then she throws them away.

We see whiskers every once in a while...mostly Dad's hair!

There's that nail polish that your mom and JB's mom keep talking about! Our mommy doesn't wear nail polish so our nails are naked too! Our mommy tries to keep our whiskers but she always forgets where she puts them. :)

I'm sure cats don't lose whiskers very often--there aren't many of them!

We don't think there would be any nail polishing on the two cats here! To start with, the cats hate the smell of the polish and remover.

MOL for the painted nails!
My human feels the same about my whiskers. I think she has started to keep them... Kind of strange if you ask me.

Our Mom has not found any whiskers but probably because she doesn't see well. Wonder if you do want your nails painted and what is your favorite color.

Pop saves my whiskers and he's got whiskers from the cats who came before me too. I hope he doesn't clone the wrong one.

Not sure painted whiskers would work. Might get stiff!

Oh...this reminds me of a fun story of my pal and Bridge Angel, woofie Colby ::bows head in honor::

Colby was always being mistaken for a boy dog...who knows why but she seemed to hate it. She was super proud when mom and dad got her a pink collar. Anyway, one day when dad went to the vet to get food and stuff, he always took Colby along. There was a groomer located next door and they asked if they could have a bit of fun with her..so dad let them paint her toenails pink!!!!! I think it was woofie nail polish...anyway...oh she was so excited and proud. And they surprised mom! What a wonderful memory for all of us.

Our mom collects our whiskers when she finds them...she keeps them in a little pile. We think it's really strange that she does that.

So far none of our whiskers have fallen out yet but when they do our mom is going to save them all...

no way does any cat want painter nails! That requires touching, even holding our toesies...not happening! At least not to this LADYCAT!
