Friendly Fill-Ins and Sedona Day 5

We're pawticipating in Friendly Fill-ins sponsored by McGuffy's Reader and 15 and Meowing.

1. I challenge everyone to __Be KIND to each other______ this week.
2. I regret disposing of __My collection of Barbra Streisand records....even though I don't have a turntable to play them on_.
3. I have a difficult time admitting how easily I can work myself into a frenzy about things that I have no control over.
4. If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be    Faith Healing which is the ability to diagnose or cure diseases using religious devotion.
 .

Day 5 in Sedona was Memorial Day and Mom and Dad's Anniversary!   The Cozy Cactus was decorated with flags for Memorial Day.

Mom and Dad drove around and did some sightseeing.....

Chapel on the Hill.....

Bell Rock (we could actually see this from our room)

We all had dinner at The Hudson....

Aren't they cute?

They actually had the same dessert they had last year.....Ellie's Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie!!!

When they got back to the Cozy Cactus, they joined some of the other guests sitting around the fire.  Good times!!! Mom and Dad say that they have met the nicest people at the Cozy Cactus.

Thank you for these great answers. I plan to do all the challenges, I try to be ind all the time, but I could be nicer to my hubby. It is hard to not get upset about things we can't control, I say the serenity prayer when I am overwhelmed. Great photos of your trip, it is nice to see a couple so happy. Have a great weekend! XO

Raz,
Mom can surely identify with #3 fill in. She is a work in progress trying to learn to let go of what she cannot control....daily struggle but she is better.
Your peeps are a great advertisement for visiting Sedona and we loved their photo!!

Our mommy does the same thing for #3. She's trying to learn to let it go but she's a slow learner! We're glad your peeps had a wonderful anniversary in Sedona!

Mom says she had a lot of great albums that she too wishes she had kept. Seems like LPs are becoming popular again. Our Grandma, Mom's Mom, went to several faith healings with Fr. Dorio many years ago through the Cursillo movement. She said it was quite inspiring to see the healings that took place.

Have a nice weekend.

#1 is the purrfect answer! #3 is something we all struggle with. You just have to continually ask yourself if you have control over the situation. If not...let it go. The stress is just too much. I could have predicted your psychic power answer. And yes, Raz Allie, and Ellie, your parents are super cute. Mau sends Allie love, purrs and smooches. Prayers for Bill. Love, Janet

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie?!?!?!? Yuuuum. I've been looking all over for a recipe that I bet is similar. I think the restaurant calls it a peanut butter bistro ... its crust tastes like crushed oreos - with a rich peanut butter mousse (I can't decide if it's cream cheese or heavy cream), covered in chocolate ganache. Probably the best thing I tasted, ever!! Looks like your humans had a lot of fun in Sedona.

You three had some good eatables in Sedona and some incredible views.......that dessert is - well - sinfully yummy! Love your Mom's answers to the fill-ins and I think she could do #4 considering the depth of her faith! :)

Love, Teddy

What a special, well-deserved trip you had. I'm so with you on #3. I think some of us are just made that way.

I loved your answers. You & Mimi are thoughtful about faith healers. That is an amazing gift for those who have it or are helped by it. I believe.
Awesome pictures, too. I will be kind. It is important! Thanks!
