We've seen these before and the same questions always come up about whether they are truly painted or Photo Shopped. We don't know. We also heard it was a natural dye. Either way, we like kitties naturally.
Have to admit the pictures are "appropriate" for todays Photo Hunt theme. Yet we strongly feel these border on animal abuse... and to those above who have asked if they are "photoshopped": sometimes, tho rarely, they are. Sadly: there are those who will really have their pets painted.
How absolutely and utterly embarrassing!!! We would never allow anyone to do this to us.... even if our mom thinks it is unique.. who needs unique... hmmmpf! (the six kitty posse)
PS: Are any of you ragdolls?
Hey! I just caught Mr. Rhett at the keyboard, usurping my space. Never leave the computer unattended when he is around. Mine is up here.
We have seen those painted cats before... Mom just shakes her head at why people would do such things!
ReplyDeletepoor kitties... we would never accept to be painted! :-D
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you guys!
We do not want to be painted, either! Our furs are beautiful as is (if we do say so ourselves).
ReplyDeleteWow!! The first one looked so "Wonder Woman". :P Actually, I hope cats would remain in their natural color and not be painted.

We've seen those before and can only hope that someone had some fun with photoshop and didn't really paint their cat!
ReplyDeleteI has seen those before on da internets. I wonder what Charlie Chaplin would think??? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have also read that somewhere that they might be Photoshopped, but I am not sure. I would never sit still for that long!
ReplyDeleteBest entries I came across for this theme! How were the cats be made to stand by and sit/stand still? I wonder. Lol.
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout 'painting' one to look like ME!
ReplyDeleteHugz&Khysses,
Khyra
We checked those kitties out on Snopes.com and they are fake - photoshopped! Good thing too cuz it is not fun to be painted.
ReplyDeleteWe can't imagine that the second kitty stood still while his hoo ha spot was messed with!
