Shabby Chic Day 2011

Today has been proclaimed Shabby Chic Day in the Cat Blogosphere. Our Pals Milo and Alfie from The Cat's Meow thought it would be fun to share our decorating tips. Our good friend Ann from Zoolatry made this cool badge too!

We hope you enjoy our tips!






Tamir says Mom puts these cute mats on everything to keep our furs off. Yeah....like that's going to work Mom!

Ellie is into window treatments. She thinks the blinds would be nicer if they were open so she can see bird-tv. She also likes the furry look.


Allie is good at re-decorating lamps. We like the "cutting edge" style of Mom's shell lamp:

Sniffie was good at decorating too. She loved to rub her chin on the edges of Mom's flower sculpture. If you look closely at the points, you can see Sniffie's "chin wax" on them.

    Very nice work! It's wonderful to remember Sniffie's artistic side.

    We like to do decorative hacking up of hairballs!

    Heehee! Chin wax! We had glass tables here and I was always wondering how they got so nasty on the edges, until I caught one of the girls "bumping up" to give it a smear!

    I'm glad I read this ... we have lottsa shabby chic pics - I shall have to go rooting!

    Excellent job, sweeties; we love how you guys all have your own decorating skills :)...We like to scratch up the window ledges, wood floors and of course, the furniture, even the glass tops (but our bad Mommy got busy and didn't change our scheduled post today)...We miss gorgeous Sniffie too=happy Monday, lovely friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

    We're especially impressed with the lamp too! Definitely advanced. We'll have to try that ourselves (we hear the mom shouting "No!" for some reason....)

    You guys are pretty good at decorating!! We have those mat thingeys and blankets too all over...mom doesn't understand why we still choose to lay where there aren't any mats!

    Well, it's lovely to have some of Sniffie's DNA rubbed off on things, as a constant reminder of her. I'd never clean that thing if I were you.

    And congrats on an excellent shabbifying job from the rest of the kitties. Do the woofies contribute too?

    Oh Allie you look so content laying there with those cute little toes hanging off the edge.
    If we were there we would be trying to get those cute little toes. We like things that hang off the tables.
