It's Thursday in the Garden Day! Since effurybuddy seemed to enjoy seeing Moms indoor orchids, we thought we would show you one more.
A couple of years ago Mom heard that you can graft an orchid to your palm tree. Even though we were purrty sure she couldn't do it, we let her try it.First you wrap the roots of the orchid to the tree...
After many months, the roots grafted themselves to the palm tree. Mom never has to do anything but look at the purrty flowers now!

Lovely. We had orchids when we lived in FL - it was easy to grow them there.

That is so neat. Your Mom is so talented. Our Mom could never have done that. Those orchids are so pretty. WE would love to have some of those. Hope you all have a great Thursday.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty cool!! Your mom must have a way with orchids!!
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool! I doubt that would work here in southern California - the air is too dry for orchids.
ReplyDeleteWe miss Sniffie too, and replied to your comment on our blog - thanks btw. TSB is jealous, she can't keep anything alive and green for long MOL
ReplyDeleteThe nature is wonderful, isn´t?
ReplyDeleteCongratulatios for your garden!!
I had no idea you could do that!! I love those orchids and had one just like it in my house. It lasted for about four years I think, until I accidentally killed it.
