Tamir is an Angel

It's through leaky eyes that we post this.  Our sweet ManCat Tamir has gone to the Bridge.

Last night Tamir sat with Mom and purred and purred while she brushed him and held him and loved on him.  Mom was pretty worried and pretty sure that Tamir was saying goodbye.  In the middle of the night he came into the bedroom and slept under the bed on her side.  He used to always sleep on the bed with his paw touching her.

This morning he had some water and was a bit wobbly.  He had an appointment with the VET for fluids at 2:30 and Mom wanted to get him in early but would have had to drop him off.  That would have stressed him too much and Mom said she would wait for his appointment.

At around 9:30 Mom heard Tamir moan and she grabbed him and rushed to the VET.  She was afraid they weren't even going to make it and rode with the PTU opened and her hand on him.  Fortunatly, our VET is only about 5 blocks from our house.  She knew he was leaving at that point.

The VET agreed that Tamir was ready to go.  Mom thinks he was already on his way at that time.  He was gently helped to the Bridge with Mom kissing him and whispering how much we all love him in his ear.

Mom can't stop sobbing.  We really hoped we would have had more time with our sweet boy.  Mom says she loves us all but Tamir and Sniffie were special.  Tomorrow is Sniffie's 2 year anniversary at the Bridge.  We think Tamir wanted to be there with her.

We know that Tamir had a good life, but it doesn't make it easier. Mom still remembers he day she got him and how he played with the string on her hoodie.   He was also so lucky to have found love with Gracie.  One of the things Mom whispered to him at the end was how much she knew Gracie loved him too.

Goodbye Sweet ManCat.  We loved you so very much and we know how much you loved us too.  We'll miss your roaring purr (that Dad once thought was a helicopter),  your loving ways, the goofy way you slept in your floofy red bed  and your sweet (but loud) meow!  As Mom told you as you left, it's not goodbye..it's till we're together again.

  44. He was ready and I know he knew it was hard to say goodbye, for both of you. Fly Free, Sweet Tamir...

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
    To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
    Soon, replied the whiskered angel
    But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
    That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

    Eventually they will understand,
    Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

  57. I wanted to express how very sorry I am, that tamir made his journey across Rainbow Bridge. While it does not and cannot ease the intense sorrow you feel, remember tamir lives in God’s house now; and ultimately it’s the best address to have.

please never forget that tamir is not truly gone; he just has a different address, and just because you can’t see him; doesn’t mean he isn’t here. As long as you hold his memory close, he will never be more than a heartbeat away....it’s never good bye; just; until we meet again in the kingdom of heaven

and at the end,... you did what was best for and most compassionate for tamir; you let him go with dignity and grace.

this is the ultimate gift; it’s called love and as sure as I write this, I can guarantee were tamir to speak...not only would he say thanx mom and dad....for everything....he would also say; I love you; I always have and I always will.

    While I wax cliché with the following statement; it’s true; tamir suffers no more; he knows nothing but happiness, he has now become your guardian angel, and when you least expect it; look for a “memento” as this is his way of saying;

    I truly am OK

I now we haven’t been here very long; but please accept my utmost sympathies on tamir’s passing; he is and always will be, as de tabbies would say

  106. We are so sorry to read about Tamir leaving for the rainbow bridge.
It is always sad to see a furry furriend leave but we know they are without pain now and they can play together over there.
We know how hard it is and how painful so we send lots of hugs (from the humans) and purrs (from us kitties)
