I took my special girl Madi on a date to a wonderful date in a garden with TRAINS!!
Here's what Madi's Mom says about our Date Day location:
Madi's Dad's hobby is any thing train related. He builds O scale brass engines to
replicate the real trains. He is in a train club it meets once a week to play
with the small trains. Lots of those guys also do garden railroading which is
what the pictures are about. The last weekend of April and Oct each year they
have a extravaganza in Apex, NC of all the garden railroaders. All the pictures
were taken on one man's property.
The first thing we did was take a ride on a couple of the trains. It was so much fun and I earned my Engineer's cap!

We spotted a gazebo and spent some quiet time listening to the sounds of the birds and enjoying our time together....
These guys made us think about lunch....
We found a nice spot and set out the picnic lunch we brought with us....
after lunch, we decided to take out the rowboat and enjoy the cool breezes on the water...

Allie and Mau also went on a special date!! They went to Colonial Williamsburg.
Here they are in front of the Kings Arm Tavern where they will be having dinner....
They took a nice carriage ride...
and visited the Governors Palace
Mau and Allie enjoyed a fantastic dinner. Mau is such a romantic...he brought Allie a single rose!
and they ended the day with an after dinner concert at Bruton Parish Church

What a cool date Raz and Madi had. Wow, not only is Raz a pilot but now a train engineer as well. I think it is wonderful how creative all the kitties were with planning their dates. Looks like a lot of fun. Pop looked his Lionel trains when he was young. Uncle Muggy has an entire train room in his basement. I don’t understand it.
ReplyDeleteAllie and Mau look so cute together on their date :) This thing with trains is a male human thing I think. We had one that took up the whole garage until not long ago!! All they do is watch the thing go round and round!??
