Easy Like Sunday with Ellie

Thanks to everyone for the purrs and prayers since my VET visit.   My sneezies have gotten 100% better and I'm doing great!

On the other paw, the wonderful compounded Triple Fish Flavor doxycycline was NOT a winner for me. I could tell it if was in my stinky goodness and refused to eat it.  Last week we switched to chik-hen flavor....sitll no go.  Mom has been syringing the meds in me when I least expect it.  I don't like it but I DO like the treats I get afterwards. Mom says she hopes I continue to be okay with it this way because I have to take this for 6 months in the hope that we knock this out for GOOD!

I plan on an Easy Sunday (except at meds time).  I hope you do too!

  3. I am glad you are better, Ellie! Does your human have to syringe the meds or can she get pills and wrap them in something like Flavor-Doh or Pill Paste (like what we got at BlogPaws)? It's more like a treat that way, and even when I won't eat it outright, it's not that hard to "pill" me with it, since it is actually pretty tasty and I am way more likely to swallow it instead of spitting it out.

  7. Paws up that you're no longer sneezing! We certainly feel for you about the medicine. After what we went through with Ashton's medicine, including getting it compounded and flown in from the other side of the country only to have her refuse to eat it anyhow, we have seen the indignity of "medication when you least expect it" firsthand, and we sympathize!

  9. We know how hard it is for kitties to take meds, but you need to be sure to get well. Phantom is a tough one here for Mom to get to take his meds. Her best defense, and it doesn't always work, is a gigantice gob of peanut butter. Feel Better, Ellie.

  11. I'm glad you feel better, that's great! I dislike it to take meds, even when it is beef flavored. Mostly we have to cover it in a piece of cheese :o) Have a good sunday
