Auntie El had a couple of orchid plants that she was given as gifts. When Auntie El passed away, Mom took the plants. One of them originally had a purple flower but said that it would be white when it bloomed the next time. The other, smaller one, only bloomed once. Auntie El was always threatening to get rid of it because it didn't flower again.
Here's the one that was purple.....notice the YELLOW center to the white flower?

Mom thinks that the fact that they are both flowering at the same time is Auntie El's way of saying things are okay.

Auntie El would be thrilled the one bloomed again! I have a moth orchid that I'd given to my favorite aunt. After she died, her husband gave the orchid back to me. I'm impatiently waiting for it to bloom again :-)
