ManCat and LadyCats Monday

Saturday was the Feast of St Francis of Assisi.   Every year we go to the annual Blessing of the Pets. This year we went to the little Chapel at Patrick Air Force Base. It's a lot closer to home than our regular Church and that means less stress in the car for us.

There were quite a few woofies and, for the first time, other cats!  It was pretty warm and getting ready to storm (we had a big thunderstorm right after the Blessing) so they had the Blessing in a covered area.  One of the woofies was a beagle who barked pretty much the whole time, but we didn't mind.  Our woofie Cubby doesn't come because HE would bark the whole time plus he gets really upset in the car.

I hope you enjoy our slideshow and video.

Below is the video Dad took. If you don't want to watch the whole video, you can see us at the 10:27 mark and again at the 12:00 mark.  MOL That's Mom in her green cat shirt on the preview slide :)

  1. They do the Blessing of the Animals on Olvera Street in downtown L.A. in April - if I am around, I would like to do that! I'm the first kitty of my human's who could make this trip.

  7. That's cool that you got to go. One of the local churches here was doing it on Saturday...they made it a big event with a parade, etc. The mom was gonna take us, but seriously, the only one that wouldn't freak out is Wally. So she decided not to. She said some prayers for us instead.

  17. We are so happy that you all were blessed. This may happen in our community, but if so Mom doesn't know where. She would love to take us. Can you imagine what a sight that would be with eight of us. Mau is sending all his affection, kisses and purrs.
