Worried Wednesday - Feral kitties

Mom is really worried about the feral kitties that live in the park where she walks  There are so many that she now "knows" and she's used to them being in their usual spots.  Unfortunately, it seems there is a coyote (or two) in the area and there is concern for the kitties.  These kitties are taken care of by a group of people and are closely monitored for injuries and problems.

This morning, none of the regulars were in their spot waiting to be fed.  It could be because it was cold and windy....we hope that's the only reason.

In the story, they tell of a pet (formerly feral) that is missing :(

Please keep these kitties in your purrs and prayers.  Their lives are hard enough without this to worry about.  There are traps set and there was a trapper setting up cages this morning.  The park kitties have their own Facebook page....Operation GPK

  1. The coyotes here are very aggressive, and they have even been seen during the day! My human is always very careful when she takes me outside, even though I am on a leash. She has even considered getting me an anti-coyote armor jacket she has seen advertised online.

  8. We hope all those coyotes go back where they belong and leave the kitties alone. We had a pack wandering on the trail behind our house a few years ago and they took a lot of small dogs. Luckily the city's animal control was able to capture them and relocate them in a better spot.

  13. That is so sad. I will add this group of kitties to my prayer list. Coyotes are one thing I wouldn't mind seeing extinct.
