Flat Raz in Sedona - Verde Canyon Railroad

Continuing my adventures in Sedona with Mom and Dad, today I am sharing a train ride that Mom and Dad took.   It was the Verde Canyon Railroad and was a four hour trip.   They rode out into the Verde Canyon and saw lots of things they would not normally be able to see.  Mom and Dad and I went First Class (of course they did....they had Flat Raz with them!) and that included a nice buffet (which they were too full from the wonderful breakfast at the Cozy Cactus to enjoy) and a glass of champagne each.  Dad doesn't drink so Mom and I shared the champagne!!  We were in the Sedona car - biggify to see MEEEE!!

Mom and Dad....

Ut oh.....here I go again.....

Some of the highlights of the trip....

Can you see the big lizard on the top right?

Two Monkeys.....

and my favorite.....the turtle....

Mom actually had her eyes open in this photo!

Here's a short video that Mom took which shows how relaxing it was as the train meandered through the hills.

Um....not sure about these snacks in the gift shop!!!

On the way home they stopped at an adorable restaurant called Harry's Hideaway  for a yummy dinner.  Since it was Friday, Dad wanted Fish and Chips and he found some delicious ones here!

Happy Daddy!

We're also doing the Friendly Fill-ins hosted by our pals at 15 and meowing and McGuffy's Reader   This week we're letting Mom do the answers....

  6. What exquisitely beautiful countryside, and the train trip sounds as if it was fun and interesting. Mom has really enjoyed these snapshots from Mom Sharon's and Dad Bill's trip. You are a very lucky cat to have been able to go along, Raz. Mom has never tried escargot and never will. That thought creeps her out. Mau is sending Allie a trainload of kisses and all his love. 7. Gosh Raz......aren't you glad you sent Flat Raz along on the trip? He had a blast....your Mom and Dad did too....what a wonderful train ride. I'm researching rehab places for Flat Raz - I think that drinking thing got a little out of control!

  8. Great photos! That turtle and lizard are cool. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, make sure you add your link so everyone will visit. My link doesn't seem to work, but McGuffy's Reader's does. I would never eat escargot- ick.
