Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pal Sammy at One Spoiled Cat.



This week's letter is "I"

This week's poem is by Ellie

Inspiration

Poetic Inspiration is what I lack
Even if it tapped me on the back.
Try and try to write things clever
Turns out to be quite the endeavor.
Words and rhyme I can't combine
Thursday is the deadline.
Lessons I must take from SuzieQ
Then we'll go out and have a brew!
My poem about Inspiration
Won't get a standing ovation!

Now I have an inspiration..........I'm going to take a nap!!!

    I feel the same way about poetry, Ellie! Which is why I don't even try - I'm not clever enough to think about writing a poem about it!

    sure you will get standing ovations! bravo bravo apaws apaws! that inspiration can be a sneaky thing... it always comes when we can not need it and it hides when we look for a good idea... the mamas inspiration is aeggs-tra special, it comes after she clicked the publish button of a post she wrote un-inspired :o)
