Friendly Fill Ins and Flashback Friday

We're pawticipating in Friendly Fill-ins sponsored by McGuffy's Reader and 15 and Meowing.

This week's fill-ins work better for a human so we're letting Mom fill them in!

1. My guiding word for 2017 is __FAITH (trying not to worry as much)__.

2.
Hope we actually have a 50th_________ class reunion. (none since our 20th)

3. Truth be told I am superstitious about   Silly things that my Mom taught me like don't put the bread on it's "Head" or put shoes above ground level.  MOL I just realized today is Friday the 13th....not superstitious about that!      .
4. Lately, I have been   trying hard to visit more blogs           .

Flashback Friday photo for this week is sweet Angel Cubby.  He sure had his lasers on HIGH in this photo!!!

  3. It's funny the things our parents say as we grow up ... at the time we don't question it, because, hey, it's our parents and they know everything, right? Then, even as we get older, and we know logically that the things might be slightly ... err ... inaccurate ... we still cling to them in some part of our minds :)

  4. Oh we have not heard about bread on its head or shoes above ground level...we love them and we love all the things the 'old wives' used to say.
Last week I had a call from my past too about our 50th h.s. reunion which is scheduled for 9/29 and 30. It will be here in Raleigh. Not sure about going though as hubby went to another high school and will not know anyone.

    Angel Cubby you are adorable.

  6. Aww...you have a cute angel! I remember those "old wives tales". My grandmother used to recite them, too. It seems class reunions are not as revered anymore. I think people just keep in touch online, now. Thanks for joining us each week! Hugs.

  12. We never heard of the superstition against putting bread on its heel! The head peep is going to have to research that and learn more about how it originated.

  13. Awww Angel Cubby was a pretty dog.

I hope that your class has a 50th reunion. I wonder why there haven't been any since your 20th? I don't know if my class had a 20th reunion or not. If they had it, I missed it and that is okay with me.

I like to hear about the superstitions of others. It makes for some interesting reading. It seems like I heard the bread one when I was a kid, too, but didn't know why it was a problem.

Good luck with visiting more blogs. Have a blessed weekend!
