Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Here's today's photo....

The photo reminds us of Mom and Dad's trips to Arizona so our poem is titled

Fun Times

Mom and Dad had lots of Fun Times
Sedona time was really prime.
The Grand Canyon was fun
But one time and they were done.
Jerome was a hoot
and haunted to boot!
Lots of fun places
and wide open spaces.
Dad loved the big cactus
We're glad none came home to us.
Yes, they had Fun Times
And that's it for our rhymes!

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We're really THANKFUL for all the fun times Mom and Dad had together.  Right now the memories are difficult but we know someday Mom will be able to think of the fun things they did and smile.

  1. My human loves the southwest and doesn't visit the desert often enough, even though it's pretty close to us.

  3. WELL DONE YOU GUYS! I'm glad you never had a cactus back home either from your Mom and Dad's trips to Sedona - cactus are NOT "friendly" at all!!!! OUCH!

  6. Yes, an excellent verse and sounds like the call of the desert is something I WONT be hiding if it has all those prickly things out there!

  7. We live among the cactus so I understand why you don’t want one at home. We enjoyed your poem.

  8. We are so happy you turned this into a positive poem instead of something sad and maudlin. It reminded Mom of that terrible trip where the car broke down in the middle of Texas. She is happy this is not what her fate was. Hope Mom Sharon has a good outing today without too many tears. Mau sends Allie kisses that would stretch around the world and back again as well as love forever and ever and ever. We all sed love warm hugs and prayers.
