Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is a special day dedicated to honoring the memories of those beloved pets in our lives we have loved and lost but never forgotten. Whether a pet with fur, fin, feathers, scales, or something else – one pet, or many – the day was created for pet guardians to honor the pet in any way that feels most comfortable to them. Post a picture, write a poem, share a favorite memory, upload a video, or write a special blog post and share the link. In year’s past, people have posted on the Facebook event page, on Instagram, Twitter, and more and the hashtag #rainbowbridgeremembrance was actually trending last year. Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day was founded in 2015 by Deborah Barnes, President of the Cat Writers’ Association and award-winning author and blogger at Zee & Zoey’s Cat Chronicles in tribute to her Ragdoll cat, Mr. Jazz, who she had to say goodbye to on August 28, 2013. She shared the journey of letting him go in her critically acclaimed book, Purr Prints of the Heart – A Cat’s Tale of Life, Death, and Beyond and decided to create the day in his honor as a way for others across the world to share memories of their own pets they had loved and lost. There will be a blog hop on Zee & Zoey’s Cat Chronicles on August 28 where you can share your blog post remembering your special fur child. Please feel free to use one of the above graphics.

We miss our angels a lot. Right after our Daddy went to Heaven Mom had a dream that he came around the corner in our living room and was carrying all our angels in his arms. We hope it's true that they are all together again and that someday we will be with them.

ReplyDeleteWe're sorry that we only really got to know Ellie and not your other angels. I imagine Allie agrees ... things just aren't the same without Ellie - even with the addition of sweet Noelle.
ReplyDeleteMom Sharon, Mommy says they are all together with Dad Bill and watching over you, Allie, Raz and Noelle every minute of every hour of everyday. This was a beautiful post in their memories. Sending lots of love and prayers today as you remember. Mau sends Allie oodles of smooches and bunches of love.
