Wordless Whisker Wednesday and an Allie Update.

Update on Allie, she is still having a rough time.  Yesterday morning she ate very little and Mom called the VET to get an appetite stimulant.  She was to give her half the regular dosage.  Well even that was too much for Allie.  Now she is going to give her 1/4 of the regular dosage.  Mom was really scared and afraid we were losing her.  She took her back to the VET because she found a large black gob way in her eardrum.  You can imagine how Mom's mind went crazy.  Fortunately, it was wax.  Please keep her in your purrs and prayers.

  4. Praying for Allie and thinking of all of you. I know how hard this is - just when you think things are getting better or you've crossed over some hump - you're back in the thick of it again. We hope Allie feels better soon.

  5. When anything is "just not right" with our furbabies - we're ON IT. Glad to have super vet care though - that big blob of wax probably had her quite upset....hopefully the appetite stimulant and being able to hear better will get Allie back to PERKY!!

    Hugs, Pam

  9. I will keep praying for sweet Allie. Did you get the ear gel appetite stimulant called mirtaz? Cats act funny on the pill version, but the ear one is great. Also, did she get an anti nausea med too? XO

  19. When Buddy first lost his appetite at age 17 he was also put on a stimulant. It worked a little but not a lot. Dad ended up getting him back on kibble as he was a kibble addict when he came and was switched to wet food to get his weight under control. He also started giving him private meals in the morning noon and night. That worked. Many times he would eat a little and then Dad hid treats in his meal and he would then eat more. It was a game that continued up until he passed at 20. We hope there is a plan you can find that will work for dear Allie
