Wordy Ash Wednesday

 Today is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.  We wanted to share this memory of Angel Sniffie from when she got into the fireplace and got ashes all over her feet.  There will be no distribution of ashes this year because of Covid so Mom won't be getting any today.

    Boodie didn't get ashes on her feet, but there was the time that the wall heater vent screen was being painted... so she explored, and turned up with totally black paws! Yep, she got a bath.

    perfect picture for that day!!! our husky tried to hide a bone in the ash of the fireplace once... I felt like cinderella that day...

    Shortly after we adopted Bear, my ex-husband and I couldn't find Bear ANYWHERE! I was really starting to worry until I see two eyes reflect from the fireplace. Yep. He was just sitting in there hanging out. He certainly didn't appreciate the bath he got afterward.

    Ah, sweet Angel Sniffie, ashes and all.

    They did give out ashes at our church today, but Mom and Dad still aren't attending Mass in person until they get two doses of the vaccine.

    Once Wally walked right into the fireplace while it was on! Miraculously, he wasn’t hurt and didn’t get any ashes on him. But the mom sure freaked out.
