Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

Booties
A pair of shiny black booties
Old-time fashion or real cuties?
Are they someone's antique
Or are they newly chic?
Are they owned by someone rich?
Or is the owner a WITCH???

For some reason, Mom thought of the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz when she saw them so that's the direction our poem went in!!

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We are THANKFUL that Mom got up early and won us another super cool firstie badge at Teddy's Tuesday Teaser.

Periwinkle is over the moon THANKFUL for THIS comment on The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky this week:
"Anyhoo, I do have something to tell you, Periwinkle. You are the bestest girlfriend ever, especially with all the help and support you gave my mom and dad when I was missing. I was so afraid I would never see you again, and that really hurt my heart and made me realize that I love you. I sure hope you feel the same. Sending you oodles of whisker kisses and paw hugs, Stinky 💓💗💖"

We are also THANKFUL for the new Badge that Stinky's Mom Janet made for Periwinkle and Stinky!  Isn't it great???

  3. HA! My Mom also thought of the Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz and we wondered whether someone would incorporate that memory into their poem! Those shoes do NOT look comfy - they are definitely befitting a witch!

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. Mom LOVES the poem! And she says that she too thought of the Wizard of Oz when she saw the shoes! Concatulations to your Mom on being a firstie...I think our Mom was a lasty...too bad there is not a badge for that! And Speaking of badges, that one of Periwinkle and Stinky is PURRFECT! We know how you guys never gave up and you were right! He DID make it home! We hope our Mom will be home by the weekend. Depending on how today goes...we are hoping she will be driving home tomorrow.

  13. Our mom always enjoy sharing first commenter with your mom. Stinky was very relieved when Periwinkle said she loves him too! We think in this day and age, only a witch would wear those shoes. MOL! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet Sawyer sends oodles of purrs and paw-hugs to Noelle.
