Sunday Selfies

 Did you know that squirrels don't like safflower seed?  Obviously, nobody told this guy.  He was even cheeky enough to take a Selfie while eating ours!!

    Cute guy! Really didn't know that squirrels don't like safflower seed. Here, squirrels generally avoid humans and do not venture into homes.

    Safflower seeds are supposed to be the fave of cardinals, but we never saw any when we used that kind of seed. So now we use regular sunflower seeds...among other things, But I guess when the tree rats are hungry enough they will eat whatever is available!
    Squirrels are cute and fun to watch, but oh my they are ravenous and rather destructive at imes, second only to coons!

    Scientists supposedly did a study to find out what squirrels' favorite food is, and it's whatever food is closest to being right in front of them.

    Dad has never tried feeding the squirrels safflower seeds. The birds get sunflower seeds and the squirrels are happy to steal as many as they can. That is a very cheeky squirrel and a really terrific photo. Sawyer sends all his love and lots of paw hugs to Noelle.
