Easy Like Sunday
We're going to spend today cuddling and loving each other. We're going to spend a lot of extra time snuggling with Mom and Dad too.
Mom wanted us to ask our pals if they could give us some advice. We are looking for a Feline
Cancer Research foundation similar to WINN Foundation and SOCK (FIP). We would like to do a donation in Sniffie's name. There are general Veterinary Cancer research places, but most research is for dogs. We would like a Cat specific one. Thanks for your help.

Photo Hunters - Natural
This week's Photo Hunters theme is NATURAL.
Allie says "We eat, we sleep, we play....everything we do is NATURAL...
What isn't NATURAL is the huge hole in our hearts that Sniffie left. Being this sad is just not NATURAL for us."
Mom wanted to let all of our pals know that we are visiting you but not always commenting. Mom finds it too hard to sign our comments without Sniffie's name.

Friends Friday
Friends are so important when you are going through a hard time. Mom received these purrty flowers from her friends in the Church Choir. Notice there is no babys breath? Sniffie ALWAYS chewed the babys breath from flower arrangements.

Tamir never is interested in flowers but he is in these. We think Sniffie told him to take over the flower snoopervision when she left.

Thankful Thursday
Mom continues to be amazed at the outpouring of love from the Cat Blogosphere. We're having a hard time visiting and commenting on the many beautiful tributes to our sweet girl, but we will make sure we get to all of them.
Many thanks to Ann from Zoolatry for this beautiful graphic. Mom says Sniffie looks so purrty in that picture.
Our wonderful pal Miss Peach also sent us a beautiful graphic....isn't is lovely? Thank you Miss Peach!

If you can, stop by Sweet Praline's blog. Mom Paula made a wonderful slide show that our Mom has watched over and over again today. Thanks to Praline and Mom Paula for the love you put into the slide show and for your love and support.
We get really leaky eyed looking at pictures but Mom plans on doing a nice slide show for Sniffie soon. In the meantime, if you have done a memorial post or photo or anything for Sniffie, would you please leave the link for us? Mom doesn't want to miss any of the beautiful tributes to our girl.

aka "Sniffie"
7/14/1998 - 9/21/2010

Mom can't stop crying. We know she loves all of us, but Sniffie and Tamir have been with her for so long and Sniffie was such a special girl.
The love and support of the Cat Blogosphere has meant so much to us through her surgery, recovery and the awful ultrasound and diagnosis. Sniffie really started to go downhill over the weekend. Mom and Dad were syringe feeding her and Monday was the first time they could tell she wasn't happy. Monday night Sniffie's breathing got harder and Mom and Dad knew it was time. When they gave her the first shot to relax her, Mom could tell she was already gone. Mom kept holding her and telling her how much she loved her and that we will always keep her with us. Sniffie took a big piece of Mom's heart with her when she went to the Bridge. We know her sister Cory was waiting there to greet her. Sniffie will be cremated and she will always be with us.
Many thanks to KC for this lovely graphic for Sniffie.
We will try to visit our pals when we can. Mom has blog posts scheduled already so our blog will continue with them until Mom gets Sniffie's Memorial Post ready. She's having a hard time picking photos because she wants Sniffie's purrsonality to shine through.Mom has also started a Candle Group for Sniffie. If you click on this link you can light a virtual candle for her Candles for Sniffie Luxor's Mom told us about this site.
Again, Thank You All! We love you!

ManCat Monday
Tamir says Mondays have a way of turning you upside down.
Please send some extra purrs and prayers for Sniffie. Mom worries that Sniffie is thinking of leaving us but then a few minutes later Sniffie seems okay. She is out and about and doesn't seem to be in any pain so we're hoping she's planning on staying around for a while longer.

Photo Hunters - School
This week's Photo Hunters theme is SCHOOL.
Welcome to Tamir's SCHOOL of proper scratching techniques.
First.....find a good scratcher. Our well-loved teepee works fine for that.
Get as comfy as possible. Why stand when you can lay down and scratch?
Really dig those claws in....

Enjoy a nice nap when you are done.

Femme Friday with Sniffie

Thankful Thursday
When the mail came on Tuesday, Mom said something was addressed to US! We love getting mail and had Mom open it right away.
Inside the envelope was a wonderful Get Well Card for Sniffie and a beautiful bookmark from our pal Tom from Whisker Messages from a Church Cat and his Mom, author J. R. Mackenzie.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtfulness. Mom really appreciated it and so did we. The love of the Cat Blogosphere is an amazing thing.

This week's Photo Hunters theme is ANNIVERSARY.

Today is another, sadder, anniversary. We will never forget.

Femme Friday with the Girlz
Mom says it's almost impossible to get the 3 of us Girlz in one photo. She managed to sneak up on us with the zoom lens for this one! As you can see, Sniffie is out and about and socializing with us. We're hoping that we have many more Femme Fridays together. Sniffie and Mom agreed that we will update on her condition but we don't want our blog to be sad. We're rejoicing in every day, minute and hour that we have together.

Mo' Cats Day and the report we didn't want to hear

Last year some crazy human decided that September 9 should be No Cats Day in the Blogosphere. Our Pal Derby realized that NO Cats had to be a typo and that it was really MO (as in MORE) Cats Day.
Here's what we think about NO Cats Day!
Sniffie shows the Back of Disrespect....
Tamir shows his 'Tocks
Ellie thinks the whole idea of NO Cats day is really silly...
And Allie agrees....
Even Cousin Trooper agrees!
We think MORE Cats should be blogging, not less! Don't you agree???On a sadder note:
We're sorry to have to say that Sniffie's V-E-T visit and ultrasound did not go well yesterday.
Sniffie's ultrasound showed two masses. The report says:
1) multiple abdominal masses, one which appears to be associated with the quadrate lobe of the liver - R/O carcinoma, lymphoma, sarcoma
2) mass associated with the L medial stifie R/O sarcoma, carcinoma
Diagnostics: Abdominal US - there is a 2 cm diameter irregular mass in the mid-ventral abdomen. The center is markedly hypochoic and may be fluid. There is also a 2.5-3cm mass associated with the quadrate lobe of the liver extending back to the R paralumbar fossa and displacing the R kidney caudally.
Mom and Dad spoke to the surgeon last night. The surgeon really had no positive things to say. She talked a lot about sending Sniffie to the Bridge from the operating table. After lots of talks, tears, prayers and hugs Mom and Dad have decided to spend what time Sniffie has loving on her, spoiling her silly and giving her the best care they possibly can. Mom and Dad are both very sad and have leaky eyes and sad expressions. Sniffie is going to do her very best to be around as long as possible. Sniffie is hoping her friends will still love her even though she has a naked belly. Mom assured her that you would.

(Not So) Wordless Wednesday with Allie
Update:
New is not good. Sniffie has two masses in her abdomen near her liver. What our regular Vet and the ER Vet thought was a smaller kidney on one side, was actually one of the masses. The "floater" thing is nothing but a bit of calcification. Prognosis is not good. We're waiting for a call from the surgeon to see if surgery is an option. No chemo or radiation possible.
Sniffie needs your purrs and prayers again. Since she is not eating and we know there is that unidentified floating mass in her, we're taking her for an ultrasound at the Internal Medicine Specialty Vet's office. Please pray and purr that we get an answer and get Sniffie back on the road to recovery.
Allie wanted you to leave with a Smile......
