Tock-Tober Day and Poetry Day "S"

First we are starting with a fun,, annual celebration - Tock-Tober!  We always loved seeing Derby's photos and now his brofur Ducky is continuing the tradition!

SAMMY 

We have a pal, his name is Sammy

He's cute and funny and not a hammy!

Sammy's a tabby with extra toes

and he loves bacon, as everyone knows.

His Tuesday Teasers are loads of fun,

Clueless Greenies...we have a ton!

A great writer is Mom Pam

And she really loves her Sam

Cat Scout of the Year 2014

You'd never hear him say anything mean.

The King of Baconia, he rules with ease

When he asks for bacon, he always says please.

We love you Sammy, we're glad you're our friend

Tocktober - we're showing our 'tocks!!

Saturday was our pal Derby’s birthday.  Every year we celebrate by posting a ‘Tocktober photo on October 20th.  Since that day was Tamir's one month anniversary at the Bridge, we decided to postpone our annual post until today.

Mo' Cats Day and the report we didn't want to hear

Last year some crazy human decided that September 9 should be No Cats Day in the Blogosphere. Our Pal Derby realized that NO Cats had to be a typo and that it was really MO (as in MORE) Cats Day.

On a sadder note:
We're sorry to have to say that Sniffie's V-E-T visit and ultrasound did not go well yesterday.
Sniffie's ultrasound showed two masses. The report says:
1) multiple abdominal masses, one which appears to be associated with the quadrate lobe of the liver - R/O carcinoma, lymphoma, sarcoma
2) mass associated with the L medial stifie R/O sarcoma, carcinoma

Diagnostics: Abdominal US - there is a 2 cm diameter irregular mass in the mid-ventral abdomen. The center is markedly hypochoic and may be fluid. There is also a 2.5-3cm mass associated with the quadrate lobe of the liver extending back to the R paralumbar fossa and displacing the R kidney caudally.

Mom and Dad spoke to the surgeon last night. The surgeon really had no positive things to say. She talked a lot about sending Sniffie to the Bridge from the operating table. After lots of talks, tears, prayers and hugs Mom and Dad have decided to spend what time Sniffie has loving on her, spoiling her silly and giving her the best care they possibly can. Mom and Dad are both very sad and have leaky eyes and sad expressions. Sniffie is going to do her very best to be around as long as possible. Sniffie is hoping her friends will still love her even though she has a naked belly. Mom assured her that you would.
