Here is what his Mom, Jennifer, wrote about him.
"He was 2 days shy of being 7 months old. I am going through all my pictures stored on the computer and sending them to you so you have some to choose from. I always check the Friendfurever blog and love to see the pics.
He was the runt in his litter and the Vet said they tend to be the ones that will have the congenital problems. Jack had a bad heart and has always had to watch his activity or he would have to stop to catch his breath. The Vet told us he probably wouldn't live a long life but this came quick and it was very hard to deal with.
Jack loves to sit and look out the window and watch what was going on in the neighborhood and was always at the door waiting for me when I came home from being away. In fact, he followed me around the house and would meow for me if I left the room and he didn't know it. In some of the pictures he was on our kitchen table which he knew was a no-no but I took his picture anyway because he was so cute up there defying me. His most recent joy was the Christmas tree. He loves the lights and batting at the ornaments. He enjoyed his scratching post and also attacking my feet when I would walk around. He was also a sweet and cuddly boy and would let me love on him and kiss him. My son Jerry and his friends though Jack was cool because Jack would play with their finger skateboards with them and bat them around.
Sorry this email was long winded but I wanted to let you know all about Jack. He was a good boy and will be missed beyond belief."
Our hearts are all sad and our eyes are leaky. We are sharing pictures of Jack Blain. Jack didn't have his own blog, so we will be sending all of your comments to his Mom, Jennifer.
Jack's Gotcha Day...
Cute pic of him as a kitten
Halloween - What a good model he was!
With his Little Bean when he broke his leg...
Last pictues of Jack before he went to the Bridge
No eager purrs to greet me.
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me.
No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding.
I've put away your bowl, and all
The things you won't be needing;
But I will miss you little friend,
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought me,
The comfort and the pleasure.
And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow;
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow...- Alice E. Chase

We are sad to read that little Jack had to go to the Bridge. His people were special to take on the smallest kitten, it takes a special sort of person to do that. Little Jack looked like he enjoyed a love and fun filled life. Rumbly purrs to his family.

We disagree with Jack's vet...he did not have a bad heart...he must've had a sick heart. But we think he had a wonnerful and big heart 'cause it sounds like he gived so much love and happiness to his beans. We are sayin' prayers for Jack and his family.
Very truly yours,
The Whiskers and Purrs Gang

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved Gandalf in November after 13 years and I still cry for him. May his loving and sometimes mischievous nature always be remembered and bring you smiles.
May he rest in peace, chase lots of heavenly mice and birds, and have a nice little lady-cat to be friends with. :)
Please send our heartfelt condolences to Jack's Mom. How heartbreaking...

Aw, that's so sad. At least he had a "Wonderful Life" while he was on this earth. Now, I'm sure he's up in Cat-Heaven awaiting all his friends, and making new ones.
Peace, Little Guy.
