Easy like Sunday

The Holidays have really tired us out! Poor Sniff can hardly stay awake!!
Good news (sort of). Dad is starting to get Mom's computer back in shape. We have some questions for our online pals. Those of you who have had problems, are you still on Entrecard? Do you drop from friends lists or do you do drop from other places (like from your inbox). Do you use the toolbar? What kind of virus protection do you have? Mom hasn't gone onto Entrecard once since the viruses 'cause she's askeered. Mom says her wrist feels a whole lot better since she isn't doing 300 drops/day and we're hoping that she will be able to help us visit more of our pals when she gets her computer back.
Thanks - we'll relay your answers to Mom!

Sniffie is all snuffed out! And we are very glad you almost have your computer back in good health! :)

We use Norton's Internet Security and Mom upgrades it every year. It is an absolute must have for Mom! It has everything: identity protection, anti-phishing, 2-way firewall, web site authentication, network security, anti-spam, Parental Controls, confidential information blocking, anti-virus, anti-spyware, browser protection, worm protection, intrusion prevention, operating system and application protection and even more! And it akshully works!

If you don't have NIS, they even have a free Norton Security Section that will scan your computer for any risks and look for viruses, trojans, etc. HERE: http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp

They have another section that tells you how to get rid of them. They have Removal tools for download HERE: http://www.symantec.com/norton/security_response/removaltools.jsp

Mom's wrist stopped hurting a few days after we quit EC. Yay! We used the Toolbar and dropped from the Most Popular of All Categories. When we were dropping our 300, we always got more than 300 drops back every day.

We did find a few blogs we love and we did get a few readers, but mostly we feel like the time and actual pain Mom had is not worth it. We think EC had the beginnings of a good social networking idea, but that it has probably run it's course. It has attracted a bunch of blogs for making money. The junk blogs that have sort of taken it over.

It took a lot of time away from doing what we really enjoy - visiting our friends!

Sorry, this turned into more of a post or "infomercial" for Norton's, but Mom really believes it is the best Internet Security around.

I think that it isn't just Sniffie who needs a good rest, it sounds like your Mom and Dad need a rest after all the computerhead aches they have had. We prescribed plenty of naps all 'round for everyone! Also we aren't sure if we wished you a happy new year, so we will do so now...

Happy New Year to you all!

We use the same internet security as the gray boys: Norton Internet Security. After we installed the 2009 version, I have noticed that I am getting more messages about possible malicious sites.

I still use Entrecard, and usually just drop from my In box. But I am starting to get weary of all the dropping. I might just subscribe to the 20 or 30 blogs that I found there that I really enjoy. But I haven't given up yet.

Also, when you have Norton, you can get something called "Norton Safe Web." So, when you do an internet search it will give you a green check mark for sites that are safe, a gray question mark if the site is questionable, and a big red X for sites that are known to be bad.

We don't do Entrecard. We have McAfee Security. Maw got tired of Norton being so slow on double checking everything and slowing down the computer. Paw uses Norton, Maw uses McAfee. Whatever.

That is an adorable picture of Sniffie!

I use McAfee mainly because our internet provider provides it free to us. I have cut back to only dropping on sites I know and want to reciprocate. I like spending my time reading and commenting on those blogs that I want to and it helps on the wrist too.

Sniffie is definitely very comfortable!

We use Norton Internet Security and have used it for over 8 years. Can't give any advice about the Entrecard because I don't even know what it is and based on all of the problems people seem to be having, I doubt we will even try it.

Sniffie, you've got the right idea there!

I'm glad your computer's getting back into shape. Computer problems are the worst.

I use AVG. It's totally free and works great. My comp crashed a few months ago and even my tech repair guys recommended it. THey installed it and they could ahve made a lot more money if I had purchased Norton or McAffee through them. It's quick, doesn't slow down my system.
I'm with everyone on their opinions on E-card. it looks like it was a great system and it's slowly dying. But I'm so grateful because I found a lot of great friend both for PB&J and my sports site. I would definitely continue to follow but I may look into other networks. And I worry about the viruses
