This is Mom's Kliban Cat cookie Jar. She loves it, especially since her Mom gave it to her a squillion years ago. When we moved to Florida, one of the cat's ears got CHIPPED. It made Mom sad.

Aw that is too bad about the chip but you can hardly see it unless you look real close.

ReplyDeleteAwww.. that's sad. I'll get all sad too if such a beautiful jar get chipped. Maybe she should get someone good in clay figurine to help her patch that up. It might bring the smile back on her face. :)

ReplyDeleteTo fix your cookie jar use a black Sharpie marker and color in the chipped area. It is permanent ink and will absorb into the unglazed ceramic. When that has dried, take a dab of clear finger nail polish and put it where the chip is. It may take a couple coats to bring the chipped spot up to the same height as the original ceramic.
