Photo Hunters - chipped

This is Mom's Kliban Cat cookie Jar. She loves it, especially since her Mom gave it to her a squillion years ago. When we moved to Florida, one of the cat's ears got CHIPPED. It made Mom sad. Here's a close-up of the Chip.
For once it wasn't OUR fault!!!

  1. Aw that is too bad about the chip but you can hardly see it unless you look real close.

  2. What a cute and unique cookie jar. We would have never noticed the chip if it hadn't been pointed out to us. Glad that no kitties were to blame. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

  3. Awww.. that's sad. I'll get all sad too if such a beautiful jar get chipped. Maybe she should get someone good in clay figurine to help her patch that up. It might bring the smile back on her face. :)

  11. Aw, sad! But maybe a little spot of black paint would hide the chip?

  19. To fix your cookie jar use a black Sharpie marker and color in the chipped area. It is permanent ink and will absorb into the unglazed ceramic. When that has dried, take a dab of clear finger nail polish and put it where the chip is. It may take a couple coats to bring the chipped spot up to the same height as the original ceramic.

Wif seben cats I've had lots of practice wif chips.
