I personally think it is wonderful of you to help your mom out by cleaning up that mess! I know those are tough to clean up after so I am always grateful when a kitty helps by eating them so I don't have to clean it.
We seem to have the same problem around our house. It's especially bad where turkey is concerned; even though it's cooked, it still has a habit of flying from the counter to the floor...hmmm Have a great weekend ;)
