Today is the 3rd anniversary of the Cat Realm's I Dare you All to make a Not of My Species (NOMS) Friend.

August 5th to be NOMS Day, a new international public holiday! Details at our blog; we hope you will celebrate with us! Today we are celebrating Noms Day, a holiday to remember that all beings are equal, to remind ourselves to be tolerant towards everybody, to reach out across species, cultures, nationalities, religions, languages, beliefs and appearances and to come together and embrace our differences We have a few NOMS friends"
Tamir thought this guy looked like a good possibility. He actually had a tail before we got to him. Isn't he the teeniest, tinyest little lizard???
Mom said that wouldn't work....we needed to show a real NOMS friend! This year we are going to feature a cool woofie named Sadie. .png)
Sadie lives with Isabella and Angel and their Mom and Dad from Beaded Tail. You can read Sadie's story HERE. 
Sadie likes to take long strolls and works very hard at making sure her Mom doesn't get lost on those strolls. Sadie's mom Sharla makes purrty jewelry and a portion of the proceeds are donated to animal awareness causes. Beaded Tail's Etsy shop is HERE.

I know Sadie! She is wonderful. My bestest friend in the whole world is a dog, Zimmie. So sort of always do NOMS day.

Sadie is a great choice, she seems to gets along with Isabella and Angel very goodly. So she must likes kitties.
Oh we love Sadie. We go with her on every Sat. for the Sadieday stroll. It is so much especially when she takes mom off the least. Great pick.

We like the idea of NOMS day! Does the squirrel who drinks from our birdbath count, even if we haven't really met him yet?
I didn't know about that special day, but if sure is fun!
Hmmmmm. It's a cute acronym and all, but no. I don't think so.
The only "NOMS" friend I can cope with is my Human, and I'm not even entirely happy about that.
I think that lizard would make a great NOMS... as in, well, noms! I guess it's hard to be friends with something when it's in your mouth, though. So Sadie is definitely the better choice! She definitely has her work cut out for her, keeping tabs on her unruly human during her strolls.

Rats! I didn't know (or mom forgot) that it was NOMS day. I could have featured my grandma beans woofie, Bandit. He did some nursing on my mom right after her surgery.
Oh we had no idea that there was a NOMS day! We have tons of NOMS friends - we will have to try to remember it next year!!
