Flashback Femme Friday with Sniffie

Mom has been looking at all her photos for Sniffie's memorial slideshow. She's come across a few that make her cry and a lot that make her smile. She loves this video of Sniffie. Sniffie loved DaBird!! We hope you enjoy it too. Mom says she has so many pictures and videos that our pals have never seen and she hopes you don't mind if we keep Sniffie as part of our blog.

We love our pals on the CB and you all have been super supportive. Mom can't believe some of the comments people that (obviously) have never been owned and loved by a cat have said to her at work and online . Someone actually told her to find another cat that LOOKED like Sniffie so she wouldn't be sad! Yeah....we're sure that works. Another person said "well you shouldn't be upset...you do have other pets" Duh................... People are strange.

How lucky to have so many photos and videos of Sniffie! She DID love da bird, didn't she?

People react in all kinds of different ways to loss, we just take in the good stuff and leave out the other stuff.

Do we MIND if Sniffie stays part of the blog?! I am THRILLED! It would have been sad for Sniffie to disappear completely. And yes, some humans are just, well, I guess they don't have a lot of humanity, which is too bad for them.

I feel sorry for people that haven't had a special relationship with a pet. They are loosing out and have no idea what they aren't experiencing. It is sad really and because of that they think of pets as a material object like a favourite sweater that has worn out.

Hmmm maybe they may get it if we tell them we are sorry to hear that their relative has passed away and maybe they may feel less sad if they can just go out and befriend an individual who looks like that relative.

we luved the video!

It's sad that some people don't get it but we do and we love seeing Sniffie's photos and videos so we hope you keep Sniffie as part of your blog! We can tell she loved DaBird and it was fun watching her play!

My friends... Rumblemum knows exactly what you mean. She could see some people laughing at her when she was grieving for Inigo and not sure if he'd make it or not. We don't understand how people can't(even if they don't understand it)be sympathetic to what we feel.

We wanted to thank you so much for your kind words on our blog for Inigo. We've been thinking very much of you and Sniffie, and hoping that you're doing ok.

Love the video of Sniffie and I'm thrilled that you want to share all of your memories of Sniffie with us.

My mom says that some of her co-workers and family members don't understand why she gets so upset when I'm sick.

We are very glad that you are keeping Sniffie as part of the blog. We will love seeing all the photos of her that we haven't seen before, and of course any that we may have seen before. People who don't understand how much our kitties are loved and missed when they leave us don't realise how much they are missing out on.

MOL, find another cat that looks like Sniffie so you won't be sad. People really don't get it that is for sure.
Love the video of Sniffie and we think it is terrific to include Sniffie in the blog. We will really enjoy it simple because we haven't known Sniffie for that long and so missed a lot.
Lots of hugs to all of you.

Oh my, such weird comments -
Most of us understand completely.
Mom says we are her little kids, and she hugs and kisses us all the time even when we do not want it.
Sniffie was soooo cute and adorable and floofy. Mom has never had a floofy kitty but she says (not me) that long hair or shortie hair we are all a bunch of clowns!

clowns!
Funny thing is, dad recalls that mom said the same thing when the beankids were living here.

caesar has been gone for over two years and Prinnie, not quite a year. The sadness softens, but the memories will always bring a little bit of laughter and certainly a tear.
Mom still has a photo collage of Caesar and Prinnie by her bedside.

thanks for sharing this video. So cute I had to watch it three times. So floofy Sniffiepuff.

What a beautiful video!

The insensitivity of people never ceases to amaze the me. I would never dream of saying to someone who had lost a child or a loved one, 'nevermind, you can always get another one.'

To outsiders they may simply be our pets, but to us they're our loved ones, our family.

Some people just don't have the connection to animals and pets like others do. And a beloved pet can't be replaced like a piece of furniture. But you already know that!

We are new to your blog, so we didn't get to know Sniffie. It was nice getting to see her play and hopefully we will learn more about her.

Yep, some humans are less caring and just don't get it. I think you should just file those comments away in the litter box. I loved the video of Sniffie with DaBird. I also thing it is quite fitting for her to remain a part of the blog that shared her life with so many of us. Purrs to you.

I totally get the love you feel for your pets - they're your family. I don't have a lot of friends who are truly 'pet people', so I know how it feels to be grieving and have others act like you've lost your mind. That is one of the reasons why I started a blog for my cats - to join in a community that feels the same way about their pets as I do. Your Sniffie was a very beautiful girl!

We just don't understand what some people are thinking when they say dumb things like that!

And we think it is a great idea to keep Sniffie a part of the blog - it is a wonderful thing to keep remebering her!

That video was great! Of course we don't mind; Sniffie always will be a part of this blog. Even our Chumley is a part, in spite of the fact that we boys never knew him (just Annie) and that he passed a couple of years before our mom even started blogging. No beloved family member is ever forgotten.

As to the odd comments....Well, it's obvious to us that most humans are just plain dumb and lacking in common sense.

The Bird is my favorite toy too! Seeing Sniffie playing with it makes me happy. We will always miss her and I'm happy you are still showing pictures and video of your special girl.

Some humans are so strange. Each and every one of us is unique and special...feline, canine and human.

Each pet has a personality all his/her own and each one takes a piece of your heart. But those holes in your heart leave room for others to come in, they don't replace the lost love, simply add to the love there.

I'm back from my long hiatus, I had to keep up with all the blogs, and I saw the sad news about Sniffie, Mom left a comment on Facebook, but she didn't let me say anything until now, I've been thinking about you, I want to give everyone ((hugs))

Some people are weird, they say we're "just cats" that we don't have feelings and all that, even some weird people that have owned pets say that, but they don't care about their pets at all, they don't feel the "connection", and that's too sad, we need more people like your humans in this world!

That video is GREAT~!!! Mom let us watch it like 3 times and Cricket was trying to get DaBird~!!! We would LOVE to see Sniffie still...

As for people...some are just so dumb and ignorant, that they are just completely CLUELESS!

That made us smile and cry at the same time!! Sniffie loved Da Bird just like we do!!! We would love if she could continue to be part of the blog.

Silly humans...some can be so insensitive. Like the guy who told mom one time when she lost one that had come before us..."he was just a cat..." Mom had to hold herself back from punching him.

Oh, we are sorry you have to deal with insensitive people. People can be clueless for sure!

We really liked this video - it made us all smile. We do hope you'll keep sharing Sniffie with us. Purrs-

People can be so insensitive, and we are so sorry that your mom had to deal with those comments. We absolutely love that you plan to keep sharing about Sniffie with us.

P.S. - Da Bird is the best!

You keep Sniffie a part of your blog as long as you like! I'm sure those people are trying to help, and they just don't understand.

I am so sorry to hear about Sniffie. This will be a huge void to fill! I am sending lots of love, hugs and purrs your way....

Sadly, there are way too many people who can say the most insensitive things when a pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. I feel so sorry for them.

People ARE strange but that's their problem and they'll never know the love of a wonderful cat like Sniffie.

Sadly there are some out there that do not comprehend the true meaning of love. They look at animals as possessions not as family members. If that was not true then the shelters would be empty!
Sniffie, we love and miss you=<'Y'>=

That video is so sweet. It is so great that you have such a gorgeous video of Sniffie! We think it is wonderful that Sniffie will continue to be part of the bloggie!

Some people really don't get it. But those people just have no idea how much love and joy an animal can give! Our Mummy says she feels so special to have met so many people on the CB who feel the same way about cats as she does. She has some health issues and says she couldn't get through the day without seeing us and looking after us!

Many purrs and hugs,

It's lovely to see that video of Sniffie having fun with Da Bird! Thank you for sharing it. We think it's a wonderful thing to do, to keep Sniffie as part of the blog, it helps keep her memory alive in a lovely way.

Some people just aren't connected to animals, they may have them as pets, but still some people don't get that connection. People are also scared and awkward around grieving too sometimes so they come out with the crassest comments thinking that they are helping, when all they are doing is showing themselves up in a very bad light. Sharon, you take as long as you need sweetheart, loss is something that everyone reacts to in their own way, and that's just how it should be, no exceptions. We think that the number of people and cats who understand is greater than the ones who don't
