Tamir knows that snooperving the backyard is very impawtent.
He's making sure nobuddy takes the orange blossoms so Mom and Dad can have a big crop of oranges this year!
Mom says the whole backyard smells purrty!
Unfortunately, some new friends stopped by this week. Mom took the woofies out on Wednesday and saw bees flying effurywhere. Later on she and Dad went out side and saw THIS!
Mom did some research and found that it was a swarm of Honeybees. The information she found said that they would probably leave in 24 hours. Unfortunately, they didn't and she had to call a beekeeper to find out how to remove them. The Beekeeper said that that swarm was made up of 30,000 - 80,000 bees!!! The cost to remove them started at $100. Mom and Dad decided to wait and see if they left on their own since they weren't bothering anybuddy.
Saturday night, Dad took the woofies out and saw this.....
The bees have moved on! Mom said it was an interesting but creepy experience! We're glad they have moved on. If you look closely at the top left hand corner, you can see the little bit of honeycomb that they left behind!!

Wow! That was amazing. It would be creepy to be so close to that but the Woman thought the macro photos were excellent!
Yikes! That's a lot of bees. I'm glad no one got stung.
My mom says there is nothing like a fresh orange right off the tree. Unfortunately, she's only experienced that once!
Wowzers! That was a lot of bees, we are glad they moved on too. Tamir looks like you are doing a good job snoopervising those orange blossoms. Hugs and nose kisses
That is AMAZING! Most of our bees are africanized and need extreme caution if you get a swarm.
That swarm was made up of 30,000 - 80,000 bees!!!
Amazing Creepy !!!!!... OMC ! My fur stand up when saw that swarm !
And Thanks COD ! the bee move away not stay tune : )
This is really exciting post !
Whoa! I am glad those bees moved on their own. A human a few blocks from us had bees that never left! For months! They finally had to hire someone to take them away.
Wow that is a lot of bees.
OMC! Scary but amazing!
Wow! That's a lot of honeybees! We're glad they moved on on their own!
Wow! We've never seen anything like that!! We're glad the bees moved on!!
Wow, that looks really scary to us. Glad the bees decided to leave on their own. Wonder how they decide where they are going or if they land in certain kinds of trees?? Great pictures. Have a super week.
Wow so many bees!!! Glad they decided to move on by themselves to save your mom the cost.
30-80,000 bees - that is a lot of bees - it's a good job they weren't feeling bad tempered or practicing their stinging.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
That bee-swarm is freaking our mom out. *Shudder* We don't think we'd like to meet up with than many bees, either!
Run comes to mind fur some reason!
Oh my cat that is a lot of bees I like to chase a bee but I think that sight would be intimidating. I am glad that they move3d on of their own accord though and it made for an interesting couple days. Mum says she would love to be able to pick oranges from her own tree.. Hugs GJ xx
Maybe those bees were scoping out your orange blossoms? If they come back, you'll get lots of oranges!
Wow! That's a boatload of bees! But since they are honeybees, life was good for everyone!

Whoa, that's crazy! I'm glad they left on their own and that no one got stung.
Those bees were very cool! If I know my mom and dad...they would have bought them a little house so they could just move in permanently! Ha!
