Photo Hunters - Missing

This week's Photo Hunters theme is MISSING/MISSED.

A few years after we moved to Florida, Sniffie somehow got out of the house overnight and was MISSING. Mom and Dad were frantic. Dad made up a sign and the put it in front of the house and printed a squillion of them out and took them door to door. One of our neighbors saw the flyer and pointed us to a screened pool a few houses down from us. When Dad went to look, Sniffie was sitting on table waiting for us to find her!! She managed to get in a hole in the screen, but couldn't figure out how to get out.

We loved Sniffie very much. Mom was so relieved when we found her. We had many wonderful years with her after that incident, and Sniffie never got out again. We know she's smiling at this post from her spot at the Bridge. Sniffie is really MISSED by all of us.

Sweet Angle Sniffie is smiling from The Bridge thinking how clever she was to pull off that stunt and how loved she was that you printed a kazillion posters to help find her.

My mom would be in meltdown mode if I got out and was missing. My brothers and sisters go out, but my momma Ellie and I NEVER go outside (except on the deck 110% snoopervised).

Purrs,

Cory

Oh, we are sure that escape made for some very nervous and worried humans. But we are so happy there was a happy ending for you and Sniffie.

Arwen has made me pretty scared on a few occasions when she has escaped and run amok in the country. I'm glad Sniffie was found safe :)

Missing doesn't cover it, panic was more like it I'm sure!

That would have been very skeery but we're so glad Sniffie was waiting to be found!

We just saw the news about Auntie El and we're doing the happy dance too!

The Baby salutes Sniffie! She never gives up trying to escape.

We left a comment for Auntie El yesterday...we are totally overjoyed that she is well! Such fantastic news.

So glad you found Sniffee.
I know cats don't move well. Ziggy one time was missing for about two weeks and finely felt safe and came out of his hidding place.

Coffee is on.

That must have been very scary with Sniffie missing. I remember when Luna got out one night soon after adopting her. Fortunately, she was just hiding in the bushes in the backyard.

We also know you all miss Sniffie so much. It's nice how you continue to remember her.

And Sniffie is missed by us, too! How scary that must have been. Even I don't like to roam too far away from home. It's not a really nice feeling. Sniffie knew you would find her, though. She just waited patiently..

Have a good weekend!

I would have been frantic too. In fact we did go frantic when our Boris got out the day after we go him. He was out from the morning until 3am when he came through the catflap and jumped on our bed. We were so glad to see him!
