Hi everyone, Cousin Trooper here. I thought I would give you an update on my Mom. She's having a port put in this week to make her chemo and blood draws easier. We hope she only has a couple more chemos but we know the weekly blood draws will go on for a while. She still has a lot of fatigue but I do my best to help her. We play chase the bug and fetch the teaser wand. It's a lot of fun! Sometimes we just nap together. I make sure she gets exercise by begging for my treats promptly (or a bit earlier!) at 5pm.
I'm a handsome ManCat! |
Thanks for all of your purrs and prayers! I appreciate them and so does my Mom!!

I bet you are helping your human lots, Cousin Trooper! Not just with exercise, but with moral support. I am sending purrs that everything goes well with her port.
You're doing a good job! We're purring for your mom!
Indeed you are very handsome, Trooper! The port will help your Mom out alot. We didn't know she didn't have one. Purrs and purrayers for that upcoming procedure. XOXOXO

You're doing a great job taking care of your mom.
Our grandpeep has a port. Her brother didn't understand what she was telling him when she told him about it, and wanted to know why she was getting a "porch" installed, so we now refer to it as her "porch!" She says it makes treatments much easier and less uncomfortable. We hope it helps your mom, too.
We'll keep purring lots for your mom.
What great company you are to your mom, Cousin Trooper! We keep her in our purrs all the time.
They are just now putting in the port? Bless her heart! They put my Dad's port in before they started chemo. His chemo ended about a year ago but he still has the port (which needs to be flushed periodically), just in case he ever needs it again. It actually came in handy recently when he was admitted to the hospital for a blood clot in his leg. They didn't even have to start an IV.
I sure hope Elinor starts feeling stronger soon!
Hope that the new port does the trick- so she doesn't have to get stuck so many times.
Keep up the good work of watching after your mom.
Purrs,
Genghis
Love that position you've gotten yourself into, Cousin Trooper. Nowadays, there are so many cat toys that a person can use that they don't have to tire themselves out like the smousy laser and wand toys. I hope things get easier for your Mom and will keep the healing purrz coming.
Purring for your Mom, for the port surgery to go well and for her to get all better soon!
You sure look comfy Cousin Trooper! We are all purring for your Mom, every single day.
