A few words on Wordless Wednesday...
Mom posted these on Facebook but she knows a lot of our anipals aren't on FB so we're sharing here..
For those who are wondering about Trooper, he has a wonderful new forever home. The original plan was for him to come back home to our house. He lived here as a kitten but really wanted to be an only cat. I figured we could slowly get him to adjust to being with the other cats and dogs. A few weeks ago, Elinor and I were talking and she mentioned how great our friend Charlotte and Trooper got along. When Charlotte stayed overnight to help Elinor, Trooper would sleep with her and they really had a great relationship. I asked Elinor if she thought Charlotte would want to take Trooper. He would be an only cat again and would get loads of attention and love. She said she knew they would be great together but didn't think Charlotte would take him because she travels a lot. When I mentioned it to Charlotte yesterday she immediately said YES! She loves Trooper and said she would have a part of Elinor with her. I am so happy that he is going to continue to have a happy and loving home as an only cat! Don't worry, he'll continue to be part of our blog top!
From Trooper's new Mom:
Hi Sharon, Wanted to update you with Trooper's first day in his new home. He spent the first few hours hiding behind the sofa, I kept calling and talking to him to soothe his loneliness. Eventually he did come out looking around the room. I had his food, litter box, water and bed in the family room as I felt he would not leave that room for the night, did give him another tuna treat which he ate. This moning I found him laying in his little bed, so cute. He walked around the house and hid under my bed. Has been sleeping most of the day. I am sure he is grieving for his mommy and his home. But will eventually adjust to the new surroundings. He does love to rub against my coffee table base which is scrolled metal. It has some roughness to it. I will pick up his tree and scratching pads tomorrow afternoon. My children are all excited that I have a pet for company and are anxious to meet him.
We would have loved to have him come live with us again but think this is even better for him. We will miss seeing him every day but we know he's got a pawsome new home.

We love that Trooper has so many wonderful folks in his life-he is one lucky cat to be surrounded by so much love
Your photo made my human all misty-eyed because the cat before me would do that - in fact, she also used to floss with my human's hair!
