Bacon's Show and Tell, Flashback Friday and Friendly Fill-ins

From Bacon's blog - Pig Love

Mark your calendars my friend. Bacon’s Show and Tell is scheduled for Friday, August 26th, 2016. Let’s talk about childhood. Is there ONE thing that you had growing up that impressed your life all of these years that you still think about it? Something that maybe perhaps you still have somewhere put away in your home? Something that when you look back at and think of the times you had with this ONE thing that it makes you smile so wide and your heart just glows? This is your day my friends. Join us this month for Bacon’s Show and Tell to talk about that ONE item.
We're letting Mom do the Show and Tell.....

This is Ruthie....

When Mom had her tonsils taken out, Mom's Nana gave her Ruthie.   Mom loved Ruthie and always remembers her Nana when she sees Ruthie.  As you can see, like Mom, Ruthie is up there in years  but she still brings a smile to Mom's face.

Since today is also Flashback Friday, we're sharing this post from last year.  This would have been our Grandmom's 92nd birthday.

Hey Ellie......remind me again....who's the lady in this picture?  Mom always has a funny smile on her face when she looks at it.

Raz, that's our Mom's Mom.  Today would have been her 91st Birthday.  None of us ever knew her but we know she had to be special...........she loved kitties!!!

Happy Birthday in Heaven to Mom's Mom!

Today is also  Friendly Fill-ins sponsored by McGuffy's Reader and 15 and Meowing.

Mom is answering for us this week.

1. I wish __CBS________ would bring back ____THE GOOD WIFE_______.
2. An act of kindness that I do often is _WORKING WITH OUR GUARDIAN AD LITEM KIDS___.
3.  I still have  RUTHIE             from my childhood  (see above)
 4.  If I didn’t have_MY CATS and My Internet pals___ , I’d be completely lost.

Ruthie is very pretty - makes Mom remember all the nice dolls she had as a little girl. They don't make them like they used to. Happy Birthday to your Mom's Mom - bet there is a big party in heaven today.

I wish I had kept some of my dolls from childhood. Somehow, they disappeared, consumed by my younger sister (a hoarder) when I left home at 18. *sigh* I love your Ruthie, and that you still have her.

Thank you for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins. With Summer coming to a close, I plan to get back to my usual routine. I will be going back to Mayo Clinic this Fall, so hope to get some resolution for my health issues, too. I appreciate your patience and understanding. Hugs.
