Today is Flashback Friday AND NOMS day. We're posting a flashback post from last year.....at the end we have a funny (well....WE think it is) story to tell you about Mom.
The day was originally started by The Cat Realm in 2007. Here’s what they said:
The Cat Realm's I Dare you All to make a Not of My Species (NOMS) Friend. From The Cat Realm: "We declare
August 5th to be NOMS Day, a new international public holiday! Details at our blog; we hope you will celebrate with us! Today we are celebrating Noms Day, a holiday to remember that all beings are equal, to remind ourselves to be tolerant towards everybody, to reach out across species, cultures, nationalities, religions, languages, beliefs and appearances and to come together and embrace our differences We have a few NOMS friends"
This year we're sharing one of the (many) lizards who visit us. This little guy seems very happy behind the clock.
Do you have NOMS friends?
Now....for the funny story.....The other day Mom and Dad were working in the yard. Mom came in and was at her computer for quite a while when she felt an itchy feeling inside her shirt on her back. She figured it was a leaf or something from outside. She tried to brush it off and it didn't come off. She kind of FREAKED....pulled off her shirt and to her dismay.....a BABY LIZARD was in her shirt. We tried to get it for her but it ran into a closet. Raz the Hunter will probably eventually get it!!
We're also pawticipating in Friendly Fill-ins sponsored by McGuffy's Reader and 15 and Meowing.
Raz is answering this week.

a baby meow is the best... all super heroes have it... and you are one of that super cats, that's for sure :o)
MOL! If my human found a baby lizard in her blouse - or any lizard in the house like that gecko in the photo - she might try to make it into a pet!
We LOVE lizards, but the lizards don't love us. Probably because we play a little rough with them.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH Raz...you made this lady cat Blush...my pink nose is even pinker. I have a little squeak of a meow when I want attention. It is kinda high pitched too
Hugs madi your gal
Your poor Mom, I would have screeched if I had a lizard on me.Thank you for participating in the fill-ins Raz, great answers. My Sammy has a baby meow too :) Cat Scout of the Year is very impressive. Have a great weekend!

Darn, our mom missed NOMS Day. She has such a hard time keeping up. We enjoyed Raz's completions of the fill-ins. Mau has sent Allie some more photos for glamping. He's having such a good time with her. He says that it is like a second honeymoon! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
That will be fun to hunt the lizard in the middle of the night!
Me and Eric had two NOMS, Gerald the goat and Eric square dog. Neither of them blog any more.
We don't have leezards here and we feel so deprived. :)
We remember the days when Karl started NOMS Day. Those were great blogging days. How nice to see some are still carrying on the tradition. (We forget.)
TW wouldn't go to bed if she knew there was a lizard in the condo. She can hardly sleep after she thinks she hears a mouse in the wall or I catch a spider. No NOMS for me.
That was a funny story! I would have freaked too!! My senior furkids Sophie has a baby meow, often we can hardly hear her and it looks like she is moving her mouth in silence! :-) Her brother Toby, on the other hand, lets his thoughts and wants be known LOUDLY, like his request for breakfast at 5:30 AM! (No, it doesn't work, but he never gives up hoping!)
George is a jumper, too. He never jumps down, rather out. He goes for distance and height. He actually gets the zoomies, running through the house, up walls, and banking turns off walls and doors.
I am sorry to be late, again. I am a bit overwhelmed with life. Please be patient with me. Things will settle down. They always do.
