Today is Fat Tuesday! Fat Tuesday marks the end of Mardi Gras and is a day for eating rich foods Here is the Wikipedia description

Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday" (in ethnic English tradition, Shrove Tuesday), referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which started on Ash Wednesday
We can think of some yummy, rich, fatty foods we would like to have like stinky goodness and temptations! Mom says it never makes sense to her why you give up SWEETS for Lent and that is the only time of year Hot Cross Buns are available! Not that she can really eat them anymore unless she finds a sugar free/low carb recipe!
