Sorry for the delay dear friends. December is always a challenge for finding time to do anything, isn’t it? Well this month for Shopping Around the World, we are going to focus on desserts/cookies or other yummy treats that you create or love to eat this time of the year. What snack desserts do you give out or put out for guests that come over? It can be something simple or something elaborate.
Shopping Around the World will be on Friday, December 29th. Be sure to write down your ingredients, costs and link back to my blog so we can all drool over your dessert
Our dessert is Crack Cookies. They are called Crack Cookies because they are addictive!!

Crack cookies

Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

4 oz saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup pecans
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line cookie sheet with saltine crackers in single layer.
In a saucepan, combine sugar and butter. Bring to a rolling boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover crackers completely.
Bake at 400 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes. Spread melted chocolate and sprinkle pecans on top.
Cool completely and break into pieces
