Friendly Fill-ins and Shopping Around the World

Today is Shopping Around the world with our pal Bacon from PigLove

From Bacon's Blog:
Hello Friends!! ❤  It’s that time to get ready for Shopping Around the World for March.  For March, what is your ‘go to’ meal that you always prepare when you have nothing else to do.  A meal that you can always pull out because you always have the ingredients and know how to fix it from memory.  Do tell – we want to know all about it.
Shopping Around the World will be hosted on Friday, March 30, 2018.  Remember to link back to my blog so everyone can read your awesome recipes.  Remember to include prices from your area.  We can’t wait to read all about it my friends!!
Our go-to meal is easy peasy.   Mom loves chick-hen thighs and buys them when the Publix Greenwise ones are on BOGO.  She thinks they are meatier and tastier.   She slices a couple of big sweet onions, adds some sliced mushrooms and bakes it for about 10 minutes at 350.  She then adds the thighs and sprinkles some Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute on top and bakes it all for about 30 minutes more (depending on the size of the thighs.  No real recipe.  She loves how the skin becomes all crispy and DEE-LISH!
Chicken Thighs -  $3.29/lb but BGO so it comes to $1.65/lb
Sweet Onion - $1.18/lb

Mushrooms - $1.79/8 ounces, sliced

Trader Joes 21 Seasoning Salute -  $1.99/2.2 ounce bottle
We're also pawticipating in Friendly Fill-ins sponsored by McGuffy's Reader and 15 and Meowing.

Mom is answering for us this week.

2. My favorite Easter ( or Passover) treat is _roast leg of lamb because I never have it any other time of year._.
3. Lately, the song          is stuck in my head. Actually, there are a ton of them in my head from choir practice Wednesday night....too many to list!

love the recipe.. it's easy done and makes a fabulous meal.... and we love that you can buy fresh mushrooms sliced... we get them only in one piece and have to clean and to cut them with our own paws...

My human loves chicken thighs too! And apparently so does Binga - my human brought home a roast chicken for Binga to have until her appetite came back, and she MUCH preferred the thigh meat over the breast. My human was a little disappointed... she was hoping to save that for herself.

Wow, that recipe really is easy Mom says she thinks she'll try it. her go to is Mac 'n Cheese (not from a box). And she loves lamb, but hardly ever has the chance to eat it. Mom and Dad do the Triduum services too - they say it is one of the nicest time of the year for their church.

Great fill-ins! I like lamb cat food but I've never had lamb people food and TW hasn't had it since Gramma passed away.
