Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

 and our poem is titled

Peaceful
A trip down to this peaceful cave
Doesn't look like we'd need to be brave.
Quiet time to sit and reflect
Our fears and worries could be checked.
Peaceful waters but a scary start
The cave is lava down to it's heart.
Known as the Ape Cave
A trip here we will waive.

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We're thankful that we don't have to go down any scary caves even if they are BEAUTIFUL.  Want to learn more about the Ape Cave?  Click HERE.

Wow - what a wonderful poem this week! I love it. So that's the Ape Cave? I would NOT want to run into the ape that lived in it that's for sure.....it's the biggest cave I've ever seen that's for sure. Still looks like a nice spot to camp and think. Thanks for pawticipating in Angel Sammy's Poetry challenge...you all always do such a great job.

Love, Teddy

Thanks for the info about this cave. We'd never before heard of it. So happy there are no real apes as Cooper and Teddy decided to go exploring. It's always so much fun to see how differently we can interpret these photos. Mau is sending Allie love forever and ever and bazillions of smooches.
