Today is my gal Madi's 16th Birthday and she's sponsoring an event called Road Trip
From Madi's Blog:
We thought it would be fun to have all my friends tell about learning to drive: if your parents taught you, if you went to driver's ed and the fun or not so fun things that might have happened. Another idea would be totell about a road trip that stands out in your mind as memorable, good or bad or funny.
Doesn't have to be long.We would love to have you all join us to celebrate my 16th.Mama of Mayor Arty, Jakey and Rosy SassyPants will set up a blog hop for us.The hop will be set up and ready for you to pre-post on March 1, 2018. You may reach it by

Mom wold tell you about getting her driver's license but it was bazillion years ago (and she failed the first two times) so We're going to tell the story of how the Florida Furkids BECAME Florida Furkids.
Mom and Dad met when Mom lived in New Jersey and Dad lived here in Florida. Mom went to an online dating site as a joke and Dad came up as the perfect match for her. They emailed for a while, they talked on the phone and then he came up for a weekend visit. By the time he left, they knew it was right and that Mom and what was then the New Jersey Furkids would be moving to Florida. Zip ahead 3 months, Dad comes up and they pack up Mom's stuff and it goes into a big truck. Dad drives the truck with Mom's American Eskimo dog Katie and they are pulling Mom's Miata. Mom drives the Friends FurEver business van with Angels Tamir, Sniffie, Cory and Baschert. Mom was worried because Angel Tamir HATED the car and usually screeched the song of our people anytime he was in the car. They drove for about 8 hours and stopped for the night. Everyone was good as gold. The next day they started up again and drove the rest of the way to Florida. Mom was totally impressed with how well they behaved. The only time she got nervous on the trip was when Dad tried to go through the drive-thru at McDonalds and almost took the roof down!! EEEK.....she managed to get him to stop before he did! The moral of the story is that we kitties can adapt when you least expect it. Angel Tamir never mad a peep! He also NEVER was quite in the car again!!
One more story from Raz.
This is me in the PTU on the way home for the first time after I was adopted. Funny thing is it is my first Selfie.....who knew?
I am proud to say that that is probably one of the FEW times I rode in a PTU without pooping in it. In fact, I am now a Charter Member of the PTU Poopers club! Isn't the badge great? Thanks to our pal Teddy's Mom for designing the badge.
Madi, I hope you aren't upset with me for joining this club! I hope you have a PURRFECT 16th birthday! Don't forget to join us at Cat Scouts for the March Birthday Party!!

Happy birthday to Madi! I'm sure Tamir knew he was going to an awesome new home, and that's why he was so good on the drive down.
Good thing Tamir wuz good - 8 hours of singing da song of our people woulda been a lot!
maybe angel tamir liked floridas as much as we do... I would be the well-bee-hivestest pup if we could drive to da sunshine state too ;O)
I usually sing the song of my people when I'm in the PTU. Maybe I'll be like Tamir one day. ;) ~Ernie
That's a long drive for kitties. We once drove 11 hours straight with four cats.
Great selfie! Happy Birthday to sweet Madi from all of us!
OH my cats and angel Pups....
What a precious memory and story of your Mom's first meeting with Cat Daddy Bill. We always knew he had the biggest heart for animals and YOUR MOM but what a guy to move you all down to florida on the first Road Trip of the rest of your lives.
Hugs Madi who is proud as punch to be Raz's girl
Happy birthday, Madi!
We think Tamir knew he was going to an awesome home, and that's why he was so good on that long ride. :)
Great Road Trip stories from all of the gang!!! And how we love that special birthday cake for your love, Raz. Happy Birthday to Madi from all of us.

What a wonderful story for us today...and what a dear birthday cake for Madi there! Mom said she'd like to nab that nose and munch it. XX
That was a great story. And Raz, that is a badge to be proud of- Millie loves his :)
Alas I have never pooped in the PTU, I think the chauffeur would have a fit if I did, with all the clean leather and vinyl everywhere. So looks like that wonderful badge won't be on my page MOL
Your first selfie actually is very good, clearly a star in the making!

That is a great story of how you all became the Florida Furkids.
Happy birthday to Madi.
oh how Mom and I LOVED your story! My Mom and Dad met online too (but not in a dating site) and that is how Mom ended up in Michigan! Love, Cody catchatwithcarenandcody
That was a great story and even though your Mom joined the dating site as a joke - it was MEANT TO BE! Your Mom and your Dad met and the rest was history! Love your cake for Madi - she will love it too!!!
Love, Teddy
I love the story of how your mom and dad! They were truly meant to be together. (Love that badge too!)
Happy Birthday, Madi! We think your cake is adorable. How funny your mom's joke turned into finding her true love :)
We really enjoyed reading the story of how Mom Sharon and Dad Bill met. It is similar to our humans in the time frame, but not dating site. That was a great first selfie, Raz! Sawyer is proud to be a charter member in the PTU Poopers Club with you. Sending more Happy Birthday wishes to Madi. Love to all. Mau is sending his adorable dinossaur a bazillion smooches and love forever and ever. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Raz...you look much comfier than I do in the box carrier that I outgrew. I haven't pooped in my PTU and neither did Kali. Mom sings to us and me, personally, I think she scares me with her off-key singing that I get constipated!
