Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

Banana Split!
Yummy tasty banana split
Eat too many and your clothes won't fit!
This one's special, it's got berries
Is the ice cream Ben and Jerry's?
Sauce of Caramel, Strawberry and Fudge
Pretty sure our zippers won't budge!
Top with cherries and whipped cream
This dessert is an absolute DREAM!

By the way, Mom couldn't resist looking this up.  Here's the recipe!

This really is The Ultimate Banana Split! With three different kinds of ice cream and a huge assortment of toppings, this over-the-top dessert can feed a huge crowd!

I’m not a big afficianado of poetry. Being a cat and all. But I love this poem!! Better than any Shakespearean sonnet! Better than Elizabeth Barret Browning! Even better than my favorite poet ever...Spike Milligan!!

To the lonely sea and the sky.
I left my shoes and socks there,
I wonder if they're dry.
