Mom spotted this burd (sorry Tabbies) in the tree. Since she/he was posing so nicely, we offered him/her the opportunity to do a Selfie. After taking the Selfie, she/he went on their way.
he/she is a beautiful hawk. as for swooping down, as the predator, humans swoop on animals and birds and kill them for trophies and fun.. this hawk eats only what they need to survive. Of course if one gets my ducks, I will cry..
Memory doesn't serve too well, maybe Cooper's Hawk (remember a few in our backyard) ... nonetheless, beautiful capture. Just don't let Trout Towne Tabbies know you got a "burd" here ... Mackerull will be so upset.

OOh nice photo girls. I am most impressed. Tell Mom that Luxe Lens has LUT's on cheap sometimes (like $13!!) Good company Mum uses them quite a bit.
