!!! we used to drive around the neighborhoods and see the displays too. two homes out north, I think, have a competition each year; they decorate to the max then put up "bins" for people to drop off a canned good or the like to be donated :) ☺☺♥♥

Driving around to see the lights on Christmas evening was a tradition our pawrents enjoyed when daddy's mom was still with us, and they traveled up to Michigan. There is a private neighborhood that opens its gates to the public during Christmas week so everyone can enjoy the estate homes decorated professionally. Thank you for sharing your memories.

TA and Pop go out on Christmas Eve to walk around the look at the lights and decorations. They say they never outgrow it. Are the rocket launches loud? Do they scare the cats? They sound loud on tv.
Someday, I'd like to witness a rocket launch...I think that that's COOL!
