Today's photo prompt is
The Geisha
Beautiful lady in colorful dress
A Geisha for sure is our guess.
She's dressed in a kimono super colorful
We think she looks absolutely wonderful!
We looked up Geishas and read this about them:
Geishas are skilled at different Japanese arts, like playing classical Japanese music, dancing and poetry. Some people believe that geisha are prostitutes, this however is false. ... The most literal translation of geisha to English is "artist". Geisha are very respected and it is hard to become one.

We think they are fascinating and love the beautiful Kimonos!
Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We continue to be THANKFUL for our health and the health of our friends. We're also THANKFUL that Mom got up and was one of Three first commenters at the Tuesday Teaser. Maybe someday she'll actually be a right guesser too!!

yes... she looks wonderful!!!!
She looks lovely. I think the confusion with prostitute comes from them often being described as a hostess.
Such a sweet poem. Your Mom sure is fast getting to Teddy's place. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
What a lovely poem, and thanks for the Geisha facts, I love learning new things.
Well done on capturing the beauty of the lady in words.
Hugs
Cecilia

Hugs, Teddy
Excellent poem.
Geisha are surely stunning and talented. Too bad they are becoming a thing of the past. Our mom is always happy when she shares first commenter status with your mom. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer with smooches and love to Allie from Mau are purrs and paw-pats to Noelle from Sawyer.
Concatulations to your mom for being an early bird again. Ours will NEVER win that distinction as she is a night owl!
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Oliver
Love your poem and that's a beautiful picture!
