It's time for In Purrsuit of Flavours sponsored by our pals at Easy Rider and kitties from Canadian Cats. This month's theme is youthful yummies, something from your childhood. That can be a pudding your mama made for you, sausage you burnt with your own paws once, snacks you ate after a hard day in school or even a tasty chocolate drink you loved as you were a small one…Mom's favorite chocolate drink from her childhood is one that takes NO EFFORT at all - Ovaltine!
Directions: 2 TBS into a glass, add 8 oz milk, stir. ENJOY! Easy Peasy!!!
We're going to have a nice easy snooze now!
aaah we remember!!!! the mama preferred kaba and even today she likes it... ;O)

ReplyDeleteOur mom has never had Ovaltine, but she love love loves milk just as is. Guess she never wanted to add anything to the goodness. She even ordered milk at restaurants when she was little! We like cereal milk after the cereal is gone. Yum.

ReplyDeleteI never had Ovaltine....my Mom would RARELY make hot chocolate for us but when she did she used Hershey's powder and milk and heated it up on the stove. From what I remember though it was a RARE occasion when we even had that!

ReplyDeleteArizona—the company that makes the iced tea—used to make a chocolate soda that the peeps LOVED. Sadly it's no more.
