Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

Memories
The kitchen was the place to hang out
Lots went on there, no doubt.
Nana would be cooking
We kids were all looking.
She would sometimes slip us a treat
That was always neat.
Those memories were great!
So were the snacks we ate!

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We're THANKFUL that our friends are all still doing well, that many have gotten both shots and that nobody had a bad reaction.  We're also THANKFUL that the Easter Bunny brought us a great basket with lots of noms.  (even though Raz tried to help himself to the Squeeze Ups!)

  4. Love the poem. Everyone hung out in the kitchen back in the day. Not anymore, but we sure did then.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around. ♥

  6. Loved the poem. Mom says that her grandmas never slipped her treats. Wonder why that was. Her dad’s parents did have those same chairs in their kitchen when she was a little girl. Raz is an opportunist like any good cat. Sending love to all. 7. An excellent poem! And we'd be thankful for Squeeze Ups too - somebody needs to add that to the shopping list like TODAY.

  11. Love this poem - it's the picture I have in my mind of what it could have been like. We hardly EVER saw my Grandmother when I was growing up - I do remember her kitchen though. She wasn't a "touchie feelie" kind of lady and rarely smiled as I remember. But I always loved visiting other people's houses where things were just the opposite!!!

    Hugs, Pam

  14. Those old fashioned kitchens seem like they were the place where Multi tasking got started!
Do the cooking, wash the dishes, bake the cookies and do the ironing too...all while watching the kids do homework or give them good advice about life matters.
