Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

The movies
Years ago at the movies
The Ice Cream ladies were groovy
Watching the show and eating a snack
If you missed her she'd soon be back.
Ice cream then was a dime
How nice to be in a simpler time.

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We're THANKFUL that our friends are all doing well and that most of them have gotten their vaccinations.  We're also THANKFUL Mom got up early and won us this First Commenter badge at Teddy's Tuesday Teaser!

The ice cream ladies were the highlight of Saturday morning movies for me! Those were the days when it was safe to go into town without your parents. How times have changed!

What a cool memory - I don't remember usherettes in movie theaters but I'm sure it's just because I went to the wrong theaters! HAHA Love the poem.............!

Love the poem and the other thing I remember is people dressed up to go to the movies. They did in this photograph too.

When our mom was writing her poem, she thought about filling the girl’s basket with kittens! MOL! She worked as a ticket cashier and a concession cashier for the theater corporation in her area to pay her college expensives. She made $1.35 per hour! She saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid 18 times. Good job on being a firstie again.
